So I'm thinking I want to get my mother an eGo setup so she can finally stop smoking analogs. I just have no idea what the difference between an eGo-T and eGo-C are. I don't get it, everything looks the same to me... I'm no newbie, I've been vaping for over 4 months, but I've never touched an eGo before.

Basically I just want to know this: Will any 510 threaded cartos/attys/tanks fit on an eGo? Do I need to purchase her cartos/attys/tanks that are labeled as "eGo" only (Vision stardust for example)? What's the difference between the eGo-T and eGo-C?

I want to get her something that is simple to use from the get-go. She's 63 years old and I don't want to burden her with using cartos she has to fill up and wait 25 minutes before it's okay to use them, tanks that may leak, and things that just plain don't work.

Please help me! All of this research is driving me crazy!

I've had an ego-t before. It was actually called the Inferno Tank at volcanoecigs.com. Basically its an ego style batt that uses a tank atty or tankomizer instead of a regular carto or atty. These tankomizers usually run around ten bucks from most vendors. The cool thing about the ego is that it lasts longer than the regular cigarette looking ecigs and you can use any 510 carto or atty with the ego style batteries because it is 510 native. I personally did not like my ego t because there was no flavor but if you're looking for something she doesn't have to drip all the time or wait for cartos, I would recommend the Inferno kit and just buy her a tubetank which is just a cheap tank that she can refill and it will last forever. Ego tank systems are a fail for me. But the ego batt itself is awesome. Goodluck

What a good idea! definitely worth a try. Don't get too disappointed if it doesn't work. Vaping doesn't work with everyone.

I think you are the right track with an eGo-T or C (same thing). The only thing that I would recommend is to look at a type of tank that it easy to refill. I am much younger than your mother, but need glasses, and sometimes, filling the tank requires more eye sight and coordination than I'd like with the "traditional" tank set up.

I have seen some discussion thread about tanks that are easier to take apart and refill.

I am sure that some fellow vapors, more knowledgeable than I am can give more details...

I'd recommend a basic mini (510 threading) and some cartomizers (fill them for her) basically any type of carto you will have to fill. If its 510 threaded the cartos/atomizers are interchangeable (except for LR on a mini, that won't work)

Or cheaper yet, try an inexpensive disposable until you see if she takes to it. I know know I'll get crap for this, but I know that in the beginning I wanted something moke sized, and I ended up at the mall kiosk.......

I'd of rather bought the disposable, hey they're cheap!

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I went with the pink (she's a two-time breast cancer survivor) eGo-T 1000mah starter kit along with two Stardusts to start her off with. I also ordered some of the Phoenix bottom coil cartos...but I'm gonna test em out before I decide whether or not to pass them on to her ;)

One thing you need to be really sure about is whether she's open to something that doesn't resemble a cigarette. If she is, then yes, something in the ego class is a great place to start. They are good solid devices and simple to use. If she's willing to go more strange looking, I'll suggest a carto tank as well.

I recently finally got my wife to vape. I have a lot of old gear so, I keep moving her up the chain. She looked askance when I set her up with a tank but, within a couple days, she really came to appreciate the convenience. She can see when the tank is getting low and she only has to fill it every couple days. She's very happy with it now.
