You may have noticed that the ProVari sub-forum in the APV section has gotten quite busy lately. While there are threads asking for pre-ordering and technical advice, many of the recent posts have been by members excited about their latest ProVari purchases and posting pictures. I'm wondering if it might be appropriate to have a social thread sticky like the Reo-nauts have.

It could be my imagination, but it seems like more people have been buying ProVaris lately and yet "ProVari hate" continues. Most of us are hesitant to post in the General Discussion forum when someone asks what we like about the Provari, for fear of getting slammed and starting a flame war. Personally, I am tired of being told I'm a status-seeker and that thinking the device is superb is a delusion I am under to make myself feel better about spending too much money. Helloooo - if I wanted 5 Vamos I would have bought them.

The most annoying part is when a thread is posted in the ProVari sub-forum about something like "What color should I order next," and out of the blue a member posts for no other reason than to tell us why they aren't going to get a ProVari. This example from the other night is actually milder than usual:

Meh.

Various Chinese APV's will do all that a Provari will do and, (in many cases), more.

I'm buying a Reo instead.

When Provari comes out with a *current* model, (with better menu system and modern screen), I might consider one. ;)

Flame on, if you'd even like to waste the effort. :D

I'm know I'm preaching to the choir here, since as ProVari owners I know you are aware of this situation. It seems the ProVari brings out the nasty side of people more than any other mod on the market. I don't know if you get as many hostile posts in this sub-forum, but perhaps not, since it's not as easy to find. It would be nice if we had a safe place to talk about how much we love our ProVaris without being subject to nastiness and having the thread derailed as we try to defend ourselves. I'm suggestion it be a sticky, since it may take awhile for it to get started and I wouldn't want the thread to get buried. I doubt it would require much moderation, since we are intelligent well-mannered folks.

I believe I am closer to your target consumer than ECF members arguing about VV vs. VW. I'm a middle-age woman who bought a ProVari because it's durable, easy to use and US made, so perhaps my opinion might carry some weight. I now own 3. I think I could have happily lived my life without ever knowing the meaning of VV, VW and PWM, but since I like to participate in ECF I have been forced to learn how to deflect insults. I love my ProVais, but don't consider myself a complete "fangirl," since in threads I pay attention to the questions the OP has actually asked and there are other mods that may be better suited for their particular situation.

Thank you for allowing me to Rawr at you and I hope you will at least consider my suggestion.

Well said. Hey I was a doubter too, before I actually got one. So I see both sides. But now I am beginning to feel as if you need to own something to be truly qualified to make an informed opinion of it. I'm seeing the same thing happening with my Innokin itaste 134. People hating on it that don't even have one.

Not saying you aren't allowed to, or don't have the right to offer an unqualified opinion. Hey, opinions are like ......., everyone has one. So if you want to offer an opinion of your ......., you're qualified. Otherwise, shut the .... up!

best regards, larry mac

p.s., sorry about proving you wrong about the well-mannered folks statement.

The State of Confusion
wow I knew there was a reason I liked you!

My problem is I don't know HOW MANY to order, one for each day of the week!

I have few more to go!

I love when a new Provari thread opens up.....let the mud slinging begin ;)
You could but how many China mods that will do the same thing? lol
I was out the other day and a fellow asked what type of mod I had, I showed him my Provari. He said oh I have heard good things about those... but we are happy with our mods...Look they are VV...To make a long story short his was not firing his atty/tank...must be the battery...Battery changed...what still doesn't fire, the coil must be burned out....I said let me see that thing....screwed it on to my Provari....enough said it was still firing... I asked him so how long have been vaping? 2 weeks was his reply...I said and your cheap mod is already breaking down...who'd of thunk:laugh:

The day my provari's came to me, my nerves were a wreck.
I sat with the family in the living room, started my vape session.
My husband and kids stared at me with silly grins and giggles.
I couldnt contain my tears. They just streamed down my face.
All i could say was, i get it, i totally get it.
And omg thats a good hit.
