Hi guys,

I received my Provari yesterday (3 day shipping just amazing) the provari works fantastic IMO the best tube mod on the market.

I do have 2 things I need help with as soon as possible.

A. I do not want the extention cap as I like the size with the 18490 battery. Now I have 2 charges at my house one is the trustfire -188 and one is also a trustfire but I forgot the name. The 188 says it would charge 18650, 18500, and some others but does not mention the 18490 now does that mean I need to buy a new charger?

B. last night I vaped like a pro and at one point the provari started to make a very very quiet beeping noice every time I hit the fire button is that normal?

Would highly appreciate assistance here fellow vapors.

Wish I could help but I'm not familiar with that Provari. Maybe someone else will come along that will know. In the meantime, have you contacted your supplier or searching ECF forum?

Thanks Emma I don't bother Provape with this unless it is a unit issue with the beeping noice. Besides that it's Sunday they deserve an off day lol.

I just would like to know if my charger is still able to charge the batteries and if the beeping noise is normal because it does not beep every time just every now and than.

All 3 of my provaris will make the high-pitched beeeeeeeep as the button is pressed. Its more noticeable at higher voltages (over 5V)

Im assuming this is just noise from the EMF generated when pulsing the power on and off (PWM) rapidly to create the RMS voltage you have set. PWM can switch in the 10-20KHz range, and that would be inline with the pitch of the noise I hear.

Long and short: If its a solid high-pitch tone while you're pushing the button, yeah, thats normal.. It shouldn't be loud, but in a quiet room, you can hear it. Nothing to be concerned about. :)

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation specially for the "long and short" one as the other one was way too technical for me haha.

I can live with it the unit works really well, love the easy menu options, vape quality is fantastic nothing to complain about.

As a note:

Depending on who you are, how old you are, and how many Who concerts you've been to. You may or not be able to hear this at frequencies above 15k. So if you do not hear it, but your dog always looks at you funny, it's working :p

Thanks Cozzicon. Now I know why I have never heard this noise from my provari--WHO concerts and age. I'm feeling better now. It may also explain why I walk around aimlessly asking, "Who are you?" lol

cheers,

It could be worse - you could do what I do, and walk into a room with a determined stride, only to stop and look confused and say to myself I know I came in here for something. What was it again???

hey, you aren't supposed to be talking about me... lol, yea i hate when that happens :p
