Is it safe to use THIS: 2 amp AC to USB Adapter (a 2 amp AC to USB adapter, made for 5 volt passthroughs) with THIS? Ego 510 Passthrough 3.7 Volt (a 3.7 volt USB passthrough)? Thanks in advance! And PS: By safe, I mean... will it explode? Will it even work? Will it ruin the passthrough?

I'm curious about this also. I've been using my 2amp with my ego PT for a long time and haven't had any failure of funkiness happen yet. If I need to stop using it for that, then I would like to know.

I believe that they don't force current into your pv, rather it's what it can handle. If it can handle a 5.0, it can easily handle a 3.7.

been using that combo for over a year with no problems. Even got a VV passthru to use on the wall outlet, works great.

All the eGo passthrus I've owned haven't been true passthrus. They are batteries that can charge via USB while you are using them. As others have said, you should be fine.

You can safely use any source that supplies MORE than the device draws. It's when you use a source that supplies LESS than the device draws that causes problems.

For example, you can plug in a 5W night light or a 1,500W electric heater into the same electrical outlet in your home without any ill effects.
