I bought this 905 from Value Vapor:
Improved V4 DSE-905 Screwdriver Kit (Silver) DSE-905, 905, electronic cigarette, e-cig, nicotine, quit smoking, tobacco-free, e-liquid, stop smoking, electronic cigarette kit, starter kit [DSE-905 Kit-Silver] - $44.99 : ValueVapor.com, Discount Elect
This is supposedly the new and improved DSE 905, I have no way of comparing to the previous models as this is my first 3.7V mod.
It came nicely packaged with 2 batteries, charger, 5 full carts and the instruction manual. After charging a battery (about 3 hours) I gave it a vape, first off I should say I made up my own cart with blue foam and my own juice. My first impression was not that great, very little flavor and vapor. I'm a believer that an atty needs a little break in time before it starts working properly so I gave it a couple hours and it did get better both flavor and vapor but I was still not impressed. This is the SLB atty with the round washer.
Now this model does not have the on/off switch and I like that. It has the red/orange led, which I was suprised that it didn't have the blue led that I thought came with the newer versions. It has a cutoff between 8-12 seconds depending on your battery strength, not crazy about having a cutoff but I can live with that, normally 10 seconds on average.
Well not being happy with my vapor production I decided to put a Joye 510 atty on the 905 using a 901 to 510 adaptor from Mad Vapes. This made a huge difference for me, it's now producing good flavor and vapor.
I've had this unit for 10 days or so and I really like it, the battery life is great, lasts me all day easy. I bought a TrustFire 3.7v 14500 900mah battery for it and it seems to hold a little higher voltage for awhile compared to the stock batteries, it's a little longer and wider but still fits in the stock charger, I will be getting a few more of these batteries.
As far as the cleaning cycle issue that was had with the earlier models I haven't experienced that whatsoever.
All in all I'm pretty happy with the 905 and would recommend this 3.7 mod to anyone on a budget, $50 to your door not a bad price.
