After several switch failures I decided to over kill using 3A 125V SPST Pushbutton Momentary Switch - RadioShack.com

Here is how it turned out, this thing better last longer than a day!

Could you give us a ballpark figure of what it costs to get a machine shop to make you one customized tube of aircraft aluminum:confused:? I get the feeling the price is pretty steep compared to the flashlights and plastic boxes we generally fiddle around with.

Very handsome mod BTW and that switch will definitely outlast the atomizer this time.

My god i hope it out lasts the atty. The machine shop i went to charged me $110 for two tubes, which included the nylon bushings. I have since changed over to hard rubber bushing due to frequent switch problems :(
The shop still has my design on file.

Looks like really good quality, but until I perfect my design, I'll hold off on the machine shop. Thanks for disclosing the cost. That will help us all put it into perspective. If you were going to sell these, the retail price would resemble that of the SD, the GG, and the Prodigy.

Hmm sell it, if I were to do that I would first set up a CNC program for it, wich would drastically reduce the cost. In all honesty though I like the idea of having something hand crafted. Just me but mass production causes it to loose its "home grown" value. Unno maybe in the future when Version II is complete Ill think about possibly selling it. These two I made are prototypes.
