I haven't used many mods and whatnot so I don't know if this is a standard feature. Anyway, I flashed Arctic Fox onto my reuleaux RX2/3 tried changing features in the settings menu and went on with my life. I noticed that, suddenly, I was getting much better battery life with a .4 ohm cool today at work.

I realized that I changed the contrast feature. This should be called brightness but that's picking nits. I realized that this just like with a smart phone, tablet or laptop. If you have the screen brightness all the way up, your battery dies quickly.

I just turned contrast all the way down and can still read the display. The screen brightness is having more of an impact on battery life, in many ways, more than gaping.

I don't know what's out there but thought it might help someone.

I updated my RX200S and found a decrease in battery life from the display timer and rolled that back to the original version. Like lowering the wattage you are using less power and although you might think it is minimal it all adds up. mAh is mAh no matter what function you are using it for it is not infinite.

Welcome and glad you joined. Have not heard yours or SteveS45 tip. Thanks.
In general, less battery power will result in:
Heat the coil slower, which may produce “less” vapor
Provide A “cooler” tasting vape, can produce more flavor
May use less E-Juice (<$ less money)
Prolong battery life (<$)
Prolong coil life (<$)
Prolong wick life (<$)
May result in less PV maintenance/Issues
Less irritation to non vapers
Aids stealth vaping
May be better in the long run healthwise (<$)
