ZMAX & Battery life.

So I have just recently purchased the ZMAX mini and extension cap and I can't tell what it's doing with determining battery life...? In my mech my 2000mah batteries will last me the majority of the day with heavy use. I'm using both these 2000mah batteries AND a 3400mah Panasonic. And they are barely lasting. It will show my voltage reading 3.4 volts after only a few hours and stop firing. when i test my batts with the DMM they read way higher than the zmax will display. Also, fresh off the charger my zmax will only read them at 3.9 volts.

When I let my zmax sit though, it seems to get battery life back. Could this be some kind of feature to prevent overheating?

I highly doubt that is a feature, I have a Sigelei V2 and Sig mini Zmax and neither act like that, I thinking you got a bad Zmax.

How hard are you using it when that happens, and what type of batteries are you using ( IMR/brand)?

I notice that with my zmax mini too. I don't have the extension cap. . (Where did you get yours?) I'd Love to get one.
With the 18350 Batts I'm only getting at the most 3 hours of light use and I'm a heavy vaper.I can't take this out unless I tote at least 4 Batts with me.
Anyway. .. I do notice that it gets hot if you hit it constantly. . I find I have to be real careful with it.
I like it. It vapes well. .. But, I'm not satisfied.
So now I have to search for a adv pv. Ugh lol

I got mine from myvaporstore.com the extension cap came as a kit. I am using a 3400mah panasonic. and I have 2 Sony 2000mah High drains

i dont use a zmax but a 18350 will last me almost all day but its in a provari mini

and i also vape very very heavily, but still, a 3400mah battery should last a very long time lol.

That is a SmokTech, they aren't exactly know for the best quality, maybe contact MyVaporStore and see what they have to say. It really shouldn't be draining those batteries that quick, and most batteries will rebuild some sort of charge if left to sit.

Zmaxs are great battery killers. Owning two, i experience the same issues!

The problem is that they aren't eating battery life though. They are just saying they are. Down to 3.4v oh my zmax reading then I take the battery out and use my multimeter and I get 3.8 volts left. That's not even slightly acceptable lol.

The batteries are protected. You should be using high drain IMR batteries. I wouldn't be surprised if the Zmax circuit is tripping the protection chip in the battery.

Try using safe chemistry IMR batteries.
