My AW IMR 14500 come off cold, no heat at all.
Have you measured the voltage to see if they are overcharging?

Yep, 4.17 .... the same as my black AWs stop at.
I'm using the Pila IBC.

I wouldn't say they are hot, just warmer than the black ones .... noticeably.
Only if you get them when they first get done though. If they sit for 10 min with the green light they cool off.

Not worried, just thought it was odd.

How do you see the charge of your batteries? I have a multimeter already, just need to know what setting to put it on and make sure where the connectors go.

See if your meter has selections for "Bat" or "Battery." If so, there should be settings for 1.5V and 9V. Use 9V. Touch the black lead to the negative pole of your battery while touching the red lead to positive pole of your battery. The display will be the voltage held by that battery at that time.

Cool thanks for all the help. Is it bad to use a battery until it doesn't fire? Will the multimeter show 0 for that battery?

Here's the exact charge rates and % of how long they last =
4.2V – 100%
4.1V – 87%
4.0V – 75%
3.9V – 55%
3.8V – 30%
3.5V – 0%

I believe I've read that it's not good to heavily drain these batteries before recharging. I swap my batteries when I notice performance dropping off and they usually meter 3.7V to 3.9V at those times.
