Came across these looking for batteries, and I know they came out with a 1600 mAH 40A battery wrapped in orange but I've been reading these are the newer ones. Has anyone ever used these yet? I might end up buying these over the orange ones. They show a continuous discharge of 32A but the orange ones have been claimed they have a continuous discharge at 40A.

These are the manufacturer's specs:

  • [*=left]Li-Mn (High Drain) battery
    [*=left]Flat Top IMR unprotected battery
    [*=left]Nominal Voltage: 3.7V nominal
    [*=left]Peak voltage: 4.2V
    [*=left]Rated capacity: 2000mah
    [*=left]Max discharge current: 40A
    [*=left]Continious discharge current: 32A
    [*=left]Maximum charge voltage: 4.2 ± 0.05 V
    [*=left]Color: Yellow
    [*=left]Dimensions: 18mm x 65mm

There are no reviews out on these batteries yet. They are being marketed as 40A batteries which implies 40 amps continuous, but from the specs we see 32A as the continuous rating. Without knowing what these batteries really are (make and model), or seeing discharge curves from a reputable reviewer I would not buy them for vaping.

Most likely marketing ploy with inflated claims from a new brand out of nowhere.

Yea Kidneypuncher has the discharge curves of the subohm cell on their site, but its tested at 20 amps, only half of the rated 40 amps, so i take that with an extremely small grain of salt.

I recently purchase a imren Li-Mn 3.7v "38a" 18650 battery as well ... I am having trouble finding any real info on it... any one else have it/ use it/ test it/ or know anything about it? I never buy unknown batteries but I was out and needed a battery desperately so I walk in the store and the guy pushes this one on me tough and doesnt carry sonys or samsungs or anything else I reconize ... Ive seen lots of skepticism in vape forums revolving around the imren brand and one guy who bought the same model battery as me from one of those laser lovers forums who swears they are the best ... so? I donno
