Hello,

I am pretty new to the world of vapor. I spent about 4 hours trolling the boards here before I felt educated enough to make a purchase. I can't believe the level of knowledge on the subject here. I ended up ordering the eGo from Cignot a week ago but the post office can't seem to find my house. I expect it to be another week before Vicki can turn it around and get it to me and I'm chomping at the bit for an esmoke. I've quit a couple times with the assistance of Chantix but never made it more than a few weeks without something popping up to stress me out. I started again about a month ago, smoking more every day. I was hoping someone could give insight for walking into a smoke shop and buying an ecig there that will get me through till my eGo arrives. Given what I have read on these forums so far my expectations are low, I just really need to start getting away from these analogs. Something cheap in relative terms and will function properly for a week is all I'm really looking for at the moment. I appreciate any help from the great people of the forum here. Thanks :)

Dont forget to blow your atties out when your kit arrives - dont want you vaping that 'yummy' primer ;) Cignot are a good company - I use them myself for all my 510 needs.

As for walking into a smokeshop and getting one - if its a decent place look for the disposables - they shouldn't be more than $10-20 (not sure how much mark up for site rent overhead they need to add) - they go by so many names it would be impossible to list them all (plus they keep adding new names) but don't pay through the nose for anything - you'll probably dump it (or put it in a drawer for emergencies) once your eGo arrives so you defintiely don't want to unload too much cash on it.

Only fair warning..the E-cigs that I tried from truck stops etc....the carts didn't last more then an hour...Just be forewarned,,,,but yes, after using one of them,,,your Ego
will seem fantastic...Wonder why it is taking so long from Cignot...I live in Cincy and receive a lot of stuff from them in less than one week....
Later and Enjoy the Adventure..

Wow, why would it take that long?

Weekends keep getting in the way of progress, and the post office made two failed attempts at delivery before redirecting to the sender. Somehow the bills all make it here without a problem... I called the post office and someone is supposed to get back to me "in two business days" about the problem. Right now it's sitting in a distribution center in Akron Ohio, probably another two days to get back to Cignot and two more after that to get to me again, unless the weekend gets in the way and slows it down some more. Vicky has been quick to respond to my emails, it's the post office sticking it to me on this one.

That blows like no other. Can Vicky send you out another and you just ship that one back? I only ask cause I know she could have you one by Tuesday.

Oddly enough the post office can't tell me the details of why they were unable to deliver, but they wrote the reason on the package. So we're waiting to see what the reason was before running into the same problem. I think I'll ask her to ship it to my mothers house when she receives it to avoid whatever the issue was. The addresses are weird on my street and I think we have a new mail carrier so my imagination is full of scenarios for the issue.

I got my eGo about a week and a half ago and it's working out great for me. One word of advice would be to maybe order small quantities of eJuice in different flavors BEFORE your eGo finally makes it to you. I didn't and ran out of the samples that came with the eGo and had to switch back to analogs while I waited on my juice to arrive.

Good luck and enjoy vaping!

Disposables: Which is what you asked about....
Good luck finding them except NJOY, which are at Pilot Truck Stops and a few other quick stop chains. You can check NJOY.com for distributors.
NJOY has a disposable out that really is a disposable. The battery cannot be recharged, for $10.00, but it does work.
Njoy also has an "Express" which I have not tried, $30.00 I think. I think it is one battery instead of two but should come with at least a USB charger and some extra carts.
Don't bother with the full $60.00 kit or you will just feel like you got ripped off later.

Madvapes could get you a Q 510 dispoable in a couple of days but at that point, you might as well wait it out.
Best of luck

Okay that makes sense, cause I even heard of one instance where Vicky drove and delivered! Cignot is cool like that.

I bit the bullet and took the only option I had at the smoke shop. Fuma kit for more than I would have liked, but it came with the wall charger and USB adapter, and I got a 5 pack of carts. I didn't want to run around to too many places and a lot of shops are closed on Sunday or have amazingly short hours. When you're that popular you can get away with it. Should figure out a few bucks less than actual smoking so I try to think of it as a break even to get me in the right direction. Not too bad so far. I'm a little nervous about leaving the house with it, like the first time riding a bike without training wheels. I would feel better if I had a second battery, but I'll bring the power inverter for my car and leave it on there when not in use. This will end up being the desperate emergency e-cig when the eGo gets here.

Welcome Ravage!

As CaptJay said, blow the primer out of the atomizers before you try your eGo! A primer is added to the atomizer to keep it moist. My first e-cig was an eGo, but I wasn't aware about the primer and had an awful first experience. If it wasn't for the vets here telling me what the problem was, I would have given up and tossed the eGo. If you use it before you blow out the primer, the primer won't come out just by blowing. I had to boil the attys in isopropyl alcohol before they were useable. Blow out your attys!

I usually get stuff from Cignot within a couple of days. Definitely have them ship to another address if you can. You need to go to the Post Office and talk to a human being. You might not be getting all of your bills.

Drink lots of water. VG and PG are humectants and will dehydrate you pronto.

You should try the highping cart mod as soon as you get your eGo. It only takes a few seconds. Pull the filler out of your cartridges with tweezers, snip nearly 2/3 off with scissors, fill the carts nearly all the way with juice, put the small piece of filler in until it's flush with the top of the cart, then top off the filler with a couple of drops of juice; it should look like a slushy. This allows you to get way more juice into the cart, and allows the juice to wick more easily to the atty. Add a couple of drops of juice to the bridge of the atty; a moist atty is a happy atty.

Good Luck!
