One week today since my last analog! I spent the whole week scrubbing and cleaning my house, washing clothes, bedding, and everything else in sight, and enjoying how fresh and clean everything smells. I'll be scrubbing out my car today.

I never thought I would make it. I'm 50 now and started smoking when I was 16 (stealing my folks' Parliament). As I came to the end of my 30's, I wanted to quit. In my arrogance, I thought it would be as easy as "just stop" like I'd been told  That works for some people, but not with me.

As I approached 1.5 packs a day, I badly wanted to quit before it killed me. I tried patches, then the horrid gum, then some Aero-smokes (ewww), then those Eclipse cigs (not bad, but insanely expensive and they need to be lit).

I just couldn't get free no matter what I did. The more I tried to quit, the more I thought about the cigs. My whole day revolved around them. Did I have enough to get me to the store and back? Do I have enough to get through the night or do I need to go buy some now? Do I pay this bill or get cigs (the cigs always won). On and on...

I never, ever thought I would make it. Because of vaping, I'm one week free! I have no cravings at all and absolutely no desire to ever go back!

Thank you, everyone here, Thank You!!!

My experience is different from yours on several counts. Most significantly, I had no plans to quit smoking until my first PV convinced me. I bought it as a curiosity. Received it on January 15th, and like you, quit instantly with zero cravings. This was unplanned, and I don't think the word shocked is too strong to describe my thoughts on having quit.

Oh, and I love your avatar! It looks the way I feel about being a former smoker, and becoming such with NO effort. :) Yesterday marked my eight week anniversary! :) I don't see any way for me to ever return to smoking. Even if vaping became unavailable to me ... cigarettes just gross me out now. (I smoked 1 to 2 packs a day for 35+ years).

Congratulations! :)
