Please don't tell me to get a Vamo or a ZMax or a Provari instead of the SVD - that was the toughest part, and I'm DONE changing my mind dang-it!!
If I hate the thing, I'll get something else, and at least have the batteries...

So...I'm planning on pulling the trigger on the following, and what I'd love to hear is:

a) Could you link me to a good 18350 and 18500, comparable to the panasonic 18650's I've got below? My intention is to get pretty much THE BEST batteries I can...but I couldn't locate 18350's on FT. Would these AW IMR from RTD be good?

b) It's a good charger, right? Also - the description of the charger doesn't actually say it'll charge 18500's, just 18490's. And the SVD says it'll take 18500 but doesn't mention 18490. Am I stuck without a "mid-size" battery option or will they both handle both?

SVD from FT
Nitecore 4-batt charger from FT
Panasonic NCR18650PD from FT
One of these things - cause it's just goofy-cool

:)

THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!!

I have the SVD, nitecore 2 batt charger and the same panasonic's but protected :p

Regarding the charger, i charge both 18650 and 18350 type so you shouldn't have a problem with anything in between because it has springs for your batts :)

I have the ultrafire 18350 from FT (the orange ones) which i use with my SVD, they probably aren't the best batteries around but for the price i'm more than happy, that said, i'll probably upgrade to AW's or Efest in the future :)

I have the same charger and it works fine with 18490/500 batteries. I picked up a pair of these $10.96 Authentic Sanyo UR18500FK 18500 1700mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) 2-pack - min capacity 1620mAh / 18.30*49.4mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping from FT and they outperform the 18490 eFest batteries I have (use both the Sanyo 18500s and eFest 18490s in my SVD). Now if I can only find the long tube for the SVD...

The short tube works with my protected Panasonic's btw :)

I too have a SVD it will run on flat top or button top. I find the SVD to be better than the Vamo so I won't try to talk you out of the SVD. I have Efest, Pannys, and Orbtronics batteries and all seem to work well. A good charger is a must I suggest Nitecore and get a I4 because you might get other devices at some point so it's always good to have extra spaces to charge. You've made good choices have fun woth them.

In case anyone notices the update -
My gear has all arrived!
The SVD, Nitecore and Panasonic NCR18650PD's all from FastTech, and a couple AW IMR 18490's from RTD, and a ProTank from SunVapers.

Couple key points for anyone shopping:

1 - the SVD feels SOLID. It's not huge, but it's HEAVY. I could knock someone out by bapping em on the head with it.

2 - FastTech delivery:
7-18 Thursday evening Ordered
7-22 Monday Packaged
7-23 Tuesday Hong Kong Postal Sort
7-25 Thursday my mailbox in California
Holy crap, that was faster than expected!

3 - It's a real Innokin SVD. Innokin box. Instructions.

4 - batteries came in a little plastic case. I ordered little plastic cases for them, now I've got an extra.

5 - Protank came with a DOA coil head. Thank goodness for the Ohm meter in the SVD, I was starting to get worried when I fired the thing up for the first time and got.....nothing:?:. Took a reading: 0.3. Swapped heads, 2.7, all is good :)

I WAS gonna vape it first with the EVODs I've been using on my Egos - but the ProTank just looked SOOOO much better on it...

Thanks for the earlier tips - I am vaping away, and now get to figure out things like
- how long on an 18490? How long on an 18650?
- what's my preference, VV or VW, and what settings for different clearo's and juices?
Lotta work to do...
