Yeah, but I mean if you don't DIY there's no way you can tell these things. If you do, then you just vape plain PG - 0 throat hit, then PG + flavors - 0 throat hit, etc... If you miscalculate nic concentration once, you feel what "killer throat hit" means and you don't do it again, and so forth...

With pre-made juices it is relative as you have no idea what they put in the juice. Boba's is 100% VG and yet has a solid throat hit, right?

I'm not a tobacco fan, but I think I might try Bobas. I never had it so I don't know what the TH is like. I have heard that their juice is thinner than most 100%VG juices, so I'm assuming they put something other than VG, nic and flavoring in it. OR, their flavoring isn't so concentrated and they use more of it, thereby thinning the otherwise thicker juice. I know that if I make 100%VG juice, it's thick as molasses, but if I thin it with alcohol, it has plenty of throat hit.

I just didn't want anyone to be left with the impression that PG cause throat hit and if they order 18mg with 100% PG, it'll have more throat hit than 24mg with 20% VG. Or, if they add PG to their juice, it'll increase the TH.

Just a suggestion since you're an Alien Visions customer already -- the main juice that I use when I feel like I might want a cigarette is their 555. I use it at the same strength I vape everything else at (12mg), and I wouldn't say that it tastes like a cigarette, but for some reason it does if for me. I think it's the magical combination of the right flavor, throat hit, and vapor production that satisfies a ciggy urge for me. That's just my experience though, for what it's worth.

555 is a good suggestion - it seems to do it for a lot of people. That is why it is common across the vendors even thought they do not all taste the same...

Don't mean to nitpick, but it's a common misconception that PG adds throat hit. PG, unlike VG, simply doesn't reduce throat hit. Because high PG juice necessarily contains less PG, it gives the impression that PG is responsible for TH. In the absence of certain additives used by some juice makers, TH is almost entirely the result of nicotine levels. Alcohol is one additive that can enhance throat hit and a cooler vaper will mute throat hit. But may people, especially new vapers, confuse heat with throat hit. Similarly to the way that PG is mistakenly credited for TH, more heat is also mistakenly credited with increasing TH. Low heat (and the resultant low vapor) and VG mute throat hit, but their opposites don't create it. Only additives and nicotine create or add TH. Just sayin.

Well, it may be semantics with the word ADD. However I have vaped just plain PG and just plain VG. So PG has TH. To say it adds it would be ... compared to 100% VG juice. You're correct IMO that Nic sure does add most of the TH. But having PG in the juice does too...either by not reducing it, or adding it. I can vape 24 mg VG juice and it's too smooth for me. Add some PG and it "adds" TH. Maybe it just "doesn't smooth TH as much". Meh. To each their own.

That's another thing.... the hardware and effectiveness of the vaporization makes a big difference. For example, a dirty atomizer, or improper ohm/voltage match will make juice "harsh" because it isn't vaporized well. When it isn't vaporized well, nic absorption suffers too.

This is where you need some experience to know ...how it should work. Then you have a baseline for your experience.
