Spoil Sport. :)

OP: no matter what you decide.... get some more atties. LRs in particular are known not to last as long. And dry-burning an LR (if it is LR) is probably a 50/50 proposition at best for a newbie. There's a learning curve, even for standard atties. You may wish to pick up a few cartos too to try em.

I drip, and clean atties every day or every other day. Blow them out once or even twice per day. Clean with hot tap water rinse, and "jigger the battery button to dry them out." like you said you do. lol. I like that term/phrase. I call it a "Warm Burn" since I do it to dry the water off, not turn any gunk to ash.

Cheapest and best are not always one in the same. I wish they were, but in my experience they seldom are the same.

Many people do ok (some do good) with the cheap stuff. I do not. I have ordered cheap from a couple suppliers in China. I end paying return postage (not cheap) and waiting and waiting for replacement parts. Cheap is great, but it usually does not work out well for me.

I have found that dealing with reputable USA suppliers work best for me. If I have to return something, it does not cost me much in postage and I get my replacement products faster. Now I let the supplier deal with the folks in China. It is less frustrating for me.

Food for thought.
Hope everything works out for you :)
Happy vaping,
Paula
