greetings everyone!
If you would have told me four days ago that today I would be smoke free, I would have laughed you out of the park. But today is my first smoke-free day in 13 years and I couldn't be happier. A few days ago I picked up an e-cigarette on a whim (I was a pack a day American Spirit smoker) and my husband and I tried it out. We realized that first day that vaping could mean an end to our smoking and so I came here and read and read and read some more. Today I headed out to E-Cig City in Laguna Beach, CA (fantastic place! exactly what I needed) and came home with some eGo-T's and clearos and yummy juices and now my husband and I can't imagine stepping out for a smoke ever again.
I never thought this day would come, so I'm a bit in shock!
It's really great to see how friendly and helpful everyone is here and I'm looking forward to participating and getting to know this awesome community.

Wonder, that's how it went for me also. I knew from the first hit that the ecig could take the place of my tobacco usage. I smoked tobacco more than 52 years. I haven't had a tobacco cig for more than 11 months. Good luck with yur quits. Now, I'm down too: 0Nic, 0FA, (flavor added). I accidently left the nicotine out of a DIY batch. So, I say I ACCIDENTLY quit smoking after 52 years. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

Congratulations to you and your husband! There are a few people in the IE who meet at a Starbucks in Riverside. When you can, see if you can find the IE group and join it. They get together to trade/taste juices and stuff, I have wanted to go to the last 2 but I am 95 miles away in the Antelope Valley. Kind of a long drive for me, with gas so high. It would be great if more people could meet and help each other find the juices they like best without having to buy them all.

Welcome to ECF, it is a great place to learn. It sounds like the B&M took good care of you, so you are way ahead of many of us who started with the cigarette look alikes. It's amazing to know you can quit the cigarettes isn't it?

My husband and I were just saying how great it would be if there was a local meetup group in the area! I'm happy to hear there is one... now to find it. thanks so much for the heads-up and hope to see you there one day!
