Is it possible to leave an e-cig in the car when it is hot outside? Every time I try I come back to a leaking rumbling and gurgling mess.

Yup, this is not a good idea. The problem as I understand it is temperature change. Air expands when it warms up. Any tank that has any air in it that heats up will make pressure inside it and that make the mess.

Sucks (well actually it presses, but darn the details), but that's how it is :)

So now you know that heat is bad on everything, what do you do about it. I carry a insulated lunch box with a reusable ice pack keeps everything chilly. I'm a welder, and this works for me year round. Nothing shortens the life span of your battery than heat and could be dangerous to use after sitting in a hot car for a couple hours.

Living in Texas I've had my own issues with heat and my equipment. Just going from an A/C controlled building into a hot vehicle can be enough to cause major leakage. If I forgot my mod and left it in the car then good lord, 4 mls of juice in the cup holder is a pain to clean.

Only thing I can suggest is to use something that doesn't rely primarily on vacuum to function. So that would be true RBAs (not RTA's like Kayfuns or Russians) and maybe some bottom feeders like a REO or something.

I agree that leaving any type of battery in a hot vehicle is simply not worth the risk.

Could the heat also cause an issue with the battery? Soz for the hijack.

First to the op, I believe your question has been thoroughly answered already. The heat will definitely cause those problems or worse ones when it comes to liquids.

To Jason, first off, love the name ! lol.

And to answer that, I can't say FOR CERTAIN that this was a result of heat exposure, but just last week I was forced to leave mine in the car for two hours. I live in Texas and own a dark colored vehicle...enough said there.

Anyway, since that day, this particular mod has been randomly turning itself off, even in the middle of me puffing on it. My best guess is the heat did something to the circuit board, as it never exhibited this behavior before that day.

If I was in a situation where I had to leave my mods in a hot car on a regular basis, I would get a small cooler that is tall enough for my mods. I'd take a piece of 2X4 and drill holes for the mods to stand in that fits in the bottom of the cooler. Buy the biggest sealed ice pack I can find and wrap a paper towel or thin hand towel around it to absorb any condensation. Put the cooler in the car where it's not in direct sunlight (maybe cover it with a blanket or something).

I'm in Maine though where it does get hot but not Texas hot.

Thats a great idea to have your mods and batts inside a cooler. I've run into the store for a few minutes and come back to a unvapable vape. My kids have soft lunchbags with a separate area for the ice packs and thats exactly what I'm going to carry my PV's , batts and juice in when I'm on the go especially on these super hot days.
Something else to look out for later in the year once it gets colder outside is that you are going to have a vape fog film on the inside your windshield and side windows that doesn't defog, so bad I went to the dealer to see if my heater core went south. A good cleaning with a micro cloth once a month to get rid of that film you don't see until it get colder. There are a couple threads in this forum explaining the same situation.
