I posted this in medical then decided to do a poll. If you have been vaping ONLY for a LONG TIME (more than 60 days), please answer this Poll.... THANKS

I had no intention to quit smoking when my son introduced and purchased my eGo. I tried it and I've been analog free going on 7 months. I have not had any desire for an analog since day one of vaping and I still feel it's (vaping) a miracle!

Prior to vaping, I don't recall having dreams of me smoking but lately, I'm smoking analogs in my dreams or trying to bum one from total strangers by walking and sometimes actually running a long distance begging for a ciggy.... I NEVER bummed cigs when I smoked. When I wake up, the vivid dream of me smoking is so very real 8-o. I vape before going to bed so I don't think it's low or high nicotine in my system for the 8 hours while sleeping. What are in those analogs besides nicotine that make you freakin' dream about them after you've quit for over 7 months? Scary!!

I'm wondering if dreams of smoking are common for vapers who vape 100%? Of course, I'm relieved that my smoking was only in my dreams but these dreams are becoming more common, at least a couple times a week or more. During the day, I never think of wanting a cig but I do remember the dream which is also weird because I usually don't remember dreaming. I hope these dreams of smoking or running and begging for a cig will cease. These dreams are not nightmares but I do remember the anxiety of wanting then getting that cig to smoke.... I've been 7 months analog free and now I'm having these freakin' dreams of smoking:grr:

I used to only have smoking dreams when I quit smoking but without vaping. Recently I had another smoking dream, this time after vaping for a while. I bought a pack of cigarettes and questioned why I bought them because I didn't even want one, I think I hid them. But before vaping I smoked them in the dream and felt guilty after waking up because I had quit.

I quit drinking alcohol 27 years ago, and I still occasionally have dreams that I am drinking. Alcohol, nicotine, and even oreo cookies taken in excess are deep seated addictions. To expect the dreams to suddenly disappear is unrealistic. Accept the fact that such dreams will never go away completely ... and you win!!! They lose their power, and you'll be able to vist your neighbor once more.:)

I too quit drinking several years ago. Whenever any one new to sobriety asks about the drinking dreams I suggest you might as well enjoy the dream and hopefully you won't drink or SMOKE tomorrow. It is just a dream right

I must be odd (well, I am odd, but this is for a different reason), in 40 years of smoking, I can not once remember smoking in a dream. I can remember doing many strange things in my dreams, but smoking has never been one of them. I have never eaten, drunk any kind of liquids, nor smoked or vaped in any of my dreams.

Now if you wish to ask about the night I spent with those cheerleaders:censored: IN MY DREAMS

Chalk it up to an anxiety dream, which are very common. I think that when you accomplish something monumental, (and quitting alalogs certainly falls into that catagory, in my book!) fear of losing said thing runs rampant in your sub-conscious mind and manifests itself in your dreams. Just my opinion:)

Exactly!!! The longer one understands that, and stays away from crazy thoughts like it may be an "omen", the better.

I don't dream of vaping or smoking. I do take my dreams as indicators of some issues I am either not choosing to or am not ready to resolve in the "real" world.

Dragonflyvaper: maybe look at your dreams of smoking as you trying to see some issue more clearly and yet not sure how you will feel when and if you do see it clearly...hence the running, asking others, etc.
