Well, I finally got it done. I have a joyetech ego-c and some juice on the way from BC. (don't know if I can name the vendor) It should be here Monday with xpresspost, but we'll see. I did have to go with the interac bank thing after all, but it was a smooth transaction.

Thanks for all your help and if you have a "C" please give my any tips that you can. Any tips in general are welcome for that matter.

Going the e-cig route was a very hard decision for me, but now that it's done I feel I'm ready to go with it and not look back. That's the plan anyway.

When I got my C I made sure to get 20 new caps for the tanks as I've heard that after many insert/removals you need to replace the cap to keep it from leaking. I also ordered 5 more empty tanks. Always order extra's as you never know when you will need them and haven't a non-working e-cig sucks because you didn't spend the extra 5 bucks for tanks/caps.

The C comes with five atomizers so you really shouldn't need more of those for at least a month. One thing you will want to do is after opening the atomizer, blow out the PG that is in it. Just put a kleenex or paper towel around the end with the needle (the part that goes in to the tank) and blow in where it connects to the base.

When you put on a new tank do a couple of dry draws (don't press the button). This will let the liquid flow down the needle a bit and will help with dry burnt tastes. After drawing on it you should see small bubbles go to the top of the tank. This tells you it's wicking properly. If you don't see the liquid level dropping then it's not wicking and you will eventually get a dry hit (burnt taste). If you see a bunch of bubbles and your not drawing on it then it's leaking. You'll want to take the tank off and see what's happening. Although I have never had this happen with my C yet.

One finally thing. The part of the tank that you put your mouth on has a small hole in it. You can use a paper clip to remove this. Then down in side a bit farther there is another small part with a hole in it. You can remove this part also. As you use it you will see some condensation collecting. I usually pop these out and run some water through it to wash it out. I also usually leave out the second part with a small hole as I find it restricts vapor flow a bit to much and can cause condensation.

Hope these tips help.

I don't drop anything in these atties. Just a couple of draws with out pressing the button seems to be enough to get the juices flowing.

I have only had very (and I mean very) little flooding problems. Every once in a while there might be a bit more juice around the coil then needed but it has never actually leaked juice through the battery connection.

The C is a nice improvement. I truly like it a lot. The leaking issues seem to be fixed. If you're cheap, like me, the heads can be opened with a small screwdriver & cleaned in vodka or boiling water, and re-wick'd. Someone in China should make replacement wicks - I'd buy 100. There are videos on youtube for cleaning & replacing. Same procedure for the ego-T's atomizer (same design).

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Hey, I'm just glad you finally got what ya need! Way to go brother. Lookin forward to the dozens of questions you will have once you start using one for real. :D I am still bumping into stuff I didn't expect but in this game everyone is a noob for the first 6 months! (Some longer?) Hope you got hold of a strong flavour for the inevitable dead mouth syndrome. Mine went away after a bit short of 3 weeks but to each his/her own.

If you are in need of an emergency blast to the cortex I strongly recommend TV Cough Drop. It'll blow your head clean off.

Happy Vapour Trails!

Yup, you'll love the C. Next time you order supplies, grab a 501 atty or 2 and a drip tip. They work great on the ego batts and the flavour is more intense. Dripping is a pain when you're away from the house but a pleasure when relaxing at home with a cuppa.
Best tip I can give is err on the side of caution when filling tanks, there's no need fill 'em even close to the top. It's too easy to swap tanks and the tanks are inexpensive. I've gotten in the habit of twisting new and old tanks 360 degrees to seat them, dunno if it works but no leaks and no dry hits. Enjoy the joy of Joyetech:vapor:
