I think i'm having psychosomatic fixes. I try stuff and say, "Hey! That worked... oh, wait... no..."

Just bought fluval and blue foam, will have to try cart stuffing after i wake up a little more.

Got more confirmation that it's not just me...Guy at work asked me why I'm not smoking as much....I told him because I have this PV and I don't smoke at all anymore.... :D He said "No, you're not making as much smoke from that today."

**sigh**

I think it's great that TW has the chat thingie to answer questions right away, but I really don't like calling the stuff I'm smoking through "lint."

More coherent updates to come as I have 3 hours to play with my Tornado before I have to go to work...

. Still after 5 minutes, I was getting minimal vapor and no flavor from the juice......

I have found that the thickness of the liquid makes a difference. At first, my cart was drying out really quick and I kept having to top off. Then I accidentally made some thinner juice and it made a world of difference.

If you don't have access to DIY materials to make your own juice, set it battery end down after a few puffs to allow the liquid to gravitate toward the atty.

The attys and batteries are really powerful. I think that with that and the cone, they really draw the juice. It all makes for a richer, warmer vape. I know that Janty does something different (won't say, because its proprietary) with their attys and pays for extra QA, which is why they are warranted for six months. I have been through both Joyes and SLBs, and the Janty/TW attys are definitely a better quality. And the battery life is excellent.

Good luck! I am loving my manual eGo and have ordered the automatic version.

I was reading your frustration with the BFD method and there must be something going on that hasn't been addressed (except for the exchanging it for a new replacement!). I have been using the BFD in both the short and mega carts with fantastic success. My carts go dry, no mouthful of liquid, and strong vapor. This may sound stupid (sorry) but do you hear "gurgling" when you press the battery switch and hold the mouth piece close to your ear. The first time I used my Tornado I heard it and was concerned. It made sense to have the noise, I had just never heard it before. I would think that if you don't, your atomizer is not heating properly which would certainly account for your issues.

As for contacting TW with your issue, you should not, IMO, feel conspicuous as that is why you deal with a particular vendor. And if they make you feel uncomfortable, don't patronize them. They should bend over backwards to assist as for one: you purchased from them and for two: there is a lot of competition out there, and you can go elsewhere. They should help you make it right or replace/refund. I, for one, have been extremely satisfied with my Tornado and with their service (they replied quickly when I had a question). Don't give up and Good luck. Allan

I've had my Tornado for a little over 2 weeks now and haven't had a major problem until yesterday.

I refilled my cart as usual (just enough to make the polyfil wet, but not pooled), but couldn't seem to get much vapor or flavor. Switched batteries to a freshly charged one. Still no go. Switched to a new atty (after blowing out the primer). Still after 5 minutes, I was getting minimal vapor and no flavor from the juice. Changed to a brand new cart. Nothin'. Proceeded to freak out, blowing out the atty, making minor ajustments with the cone and atty tightness, trying a different juice.... still very little vapor and no flavor.

After 10 minutes of debating about stealing my huband's 510, stealing his Protoge, or buying a pack of analogs, suddenly my vapor and flavor were back.

Now, everytime I fill, I get 5 minutes of no vapor. I know I'm not overfilling. My atty and cone aren't too tight or too loose. Batterys are charged. Why am i getting about 5 minutes of bleh?
I had about the same problem with the Screw Driver, what I did was just clean it, the threads the parts that connect, just do a real good clean up, using a Q-tip. Surprising how much junk collects around the atty, and the batt. Give it a try, bet it'll work just fine. My SD does. I have had that for a month.

Okie, so I used the fluval in the cart all day. Same problem. Going to bug the hubby tomorrow to make me some BFD carts and I'll try those.

Also taking Allan's idea and getting the hubby to thin out my juice a bit and see if that helps (he has all the DIY stuff and usually makes his own juice...I just like Ms T's better... heh).

I do still get a gurgle out of the atty after i fill the cart...

If I can't get this thing to go by saturday, I'm going to have to see about sending it back. TW already said to send it in and they'll replace it no problem. Now I'm just being stubborn and WANT to fix it myself now.

Thanks for the continued suggestions.

The eGo or tornado is kinda a double edged sword...it's fantastic so you didn't have to learn the struggle of crap life batteries of a standard 510..and all the little nuances to make it run optimally..
I learned em on the 510 and promptly forgot them on the eGo..and then wonder what the heck is going on...
One of the first things we learn on the 510 is to kinda keep a finger on the atty and we can kinda judge by the heat whether it's running dry or slightly flooded..then along came the atty cone...well damn we don't have that gauge anymore...
...and no more days of changing the battery ever hour to hour and a half...so we don't see all that condensation building up on the outside of the battery and then dripping it's way slowly into connections..
...and the days now with tasty VG juices, we're quick to forget that they crap up our atties all to quickly although it's in the back of our minds somewhere rattling round like a bb in a milk jug..

lol the point is...I had a little drop in performance on my eGo too..and I had to rewind to square one...clean that bugger...threads, both the atty and the battery (I use an alcohol wipe and a Q-tip...second I discovered I was running a little bit flooded (blew out the atty a bit...I blew it out from the mouthpiece end with a paper towel under the threads..not a full out bow out and reprime though, just a quick puff or 2 and replace cart)...VG will gunk up and kill an atty quicker..so I'll alternate and vape something cleaner with less particulates through my atties in rotation after a bit..
and then we come to the cart...the tightness of the foam like fluvial or blue foam will affect how quickly it wicks..I cut my blue foam 3/8" x 1/4" x 1" and then kinda gut the corners on the end that goes to the bottom of the cart so it kinds looks like a "V" ....and filling ahh filling is a trick..if you top off it looks like theres more juice then there is...I use a little dental pick...and shove the foam all the way to the bottom of the cart ..squeeze out all the air..top off the cart..and use the pick to reach down in and just barely hook the foam and pull it up (kinda slowish but not overly so) up past the top edge then push it back sorta lvl with the edge of the cart..and then another drop or two to fully top it off..

Seriously, give em a try...all 3 things..that should hopefully square ya right up..
If you've been vaping a lot of VG (which I believe mrs T's is (I dunno I've never tried it) you may just have super gunked up atties in which case I suggest looking up the user highping and his thread on atty cleaning (and following his instructions carefully) and you should be good to go

I started vaping with a Blu, so i understand the whole PITA thing that has been eliminated by the Tornado. Heh... Thats the main reason why I've only been analog-free for about 2 weeks. Couldn't cut out the analogs due to the Blu dying and being horribly crappy on the vape/throat-hit, etc. The Tornado is good enough that I kicked the analog habit completely.

To answer several previous posts...Yes, I replaced the atty a few times with fresh clean ones, primed 'em and all that...and I'm in the habit of cleaning my atty at least once a day...blowing out the gunk, wiping down the threads as well as making sure the battery connection is clean. Hubby thoroughly cleans the attys once a week or so, washing 'em out.

Drinking coffee now, gonna try and thin out the juice in a little bit, after I'm awake enough. Then I'm going to experiment with the proper cutting of the fluval. I don't like the foam. Can't pinpoint why. Just don't like it. But I'm going to stuff a cart with it later and try it out anyways.

We're snowed in with 40 mph winds, so I have all the time in the world to play with it today...
