hey everyone, i have a serious problem here with my 510 attys. and i need serious help cause im about to quit this whole vaping thing if i cant get this solved and i dont wanna do that.

its happened to all 4 attys ive used and each one lasted only two days before the problems arose. also ive tried 5 different juices from dekang and high caliber and it still happens.

i keep getting a burnt taste no matter what i do and the only time i dont get a burnt taste i dont get any vapor. once the vapor production starts going up the burnt taste comes back with it, and the attys start getting really hot. i got two attys the other day in the mail and they worked fine for about a day but now their tasting horrible. heres a check list of what i know about this situation

1. batterys are fully charged, used on one full 510 battery, and two full ego batterys with and without cone, no difference
2. connectors are clean as a whistle, no juice leaking out bottom even when atty seams flooded.
3. attys are brand new less then 3 days old and ive cleaned them with vodka, then dried, the dry burned them to try and fix with no avail.
4. three of my juice are 100% PG from dekang (menthol, USA mix, RY4) other two juices are 70/30% High Caliber brand lemonade, and red bull. each one behaves identical.
5. when i put a freshly filled cart on the attys and take a drag, it produces very little vapor, bubbles and juice flows out the mouth piece even if the atty is almost dry. if i use a blank cart without filler the juice will dissipate and the atty will start burning normal and vapor will increase to very good levels, but the horrible taste will come back along with it.
6. ive also experimented with several cart mods and poly densities with no difference, juice still flows out mouthpiece like a river, light vapor, but good taste. as vapor increases taste gets worse.
7. the wick looks white as toothpaste after i clean the attys, and i havent used them enough to believe theres heavy buildup on the coil. but i tried the dry burn method many times and see no improvement and that taste always comes back.

i have no clue what to do. this even happened on one of my ego mega carts today with the ry4. filled it with 2.1 ml of juice (it was brand new blank). good vapor good flavor and then bam, ten minutes later weird nasty burnt taste that wont go away.

the two attys i have now are really stiff draws, like annoyingly stiff, with or without cone and i cant find any obstruction as if the silicone melted in the bottom of the connector. maybe the ceramic cup has a deformed hole in them not letting enough air blow across the coil? im not sure

The first week i had this problem....What I found the problem was that atts are shipped out they usually have some fluid in them to keep them damp. As soon as i vaped a couple times on it i was getting that burnt hot taste. I finally realized that i was not putting enough liquid in the carts...especially after blowing our / cleaning the atty, you really need to load up on the juice. I hope this helps. I was on my 5th atty before i realized the problem myself. I hope that helps.

well when this first happened if i put a blank cart on it instead of a filled one it would taste burnt unless it was super flooded. but now that i washed it out and used the denture tabs the attys seam to be awsome. more vapor then i ever got out of an atty before, and i wont get a burnt taste unless i let it dry to much. two or three drips and its fixed till it needs more. i dont know if the cart problem went away with the juice waterfalls cause im almost out of juice but i got a 50ml bottle in the mail and when that gets here im gonna give the blue foam plug a shot and see if that works out alright. i tryed a cart i filled the other day with the ry4 juice and even though the poly will only wick three or four drops, the problem seams solved. my guess is that i just never got all the primer out of it and maybe it wasnt wicking correctly cause of it. im not sure but it seams to be working great now. thanks for all your help everyone, woudnt have been possible without everyones help on this forum

This may be your problem. There's no reason to be doing any of those things with a new atomizer. Fresh out of the pack, rinse it out under a hot tap. Blow through the open end, repeat a couple of times and let dry. Prime with 2-4 drops of liquid, let it sit for a minute. Give the liquid a chance to get to where it needs to go.

5. when i put a freshly filled cart on the attys and take a drag, it produces very little vapor, bubbles and juice flows out the mouth piece even if the atty is almost dry. if i use a blank cart without filler the juice will dissipate and the atty will start burning normal and vapor will increase to very good levels, but the horrible taste will come back along with it.

You may have a bit of condensation in the mouthpiece. Take a paperclip and insert it into the hole in the mouthpiece. Bend the clip to the side a bit and pull. The inset plastic piece will come out. I'd bet there's a bit of condensation under there.

Your cart might not be full, if you're filling from the top that's probably it. In that case, you're getting a few drags...then burning your fill. Best way, take that same paperclip and pull out the fill material. Put 7-10 drops into the cartridge...there's a little cup in there. Replace the fill, then top off with a few drips to the end.
7. the wick looks white as toothpaste after i clean the attys, and i havent used them enough to believe theres heavy buildup on the coil. but i tried the dry burn method many times and see no improvement and that taste always comes back.

Again, there's absolutely no reason to even think about aggressive cleaning of atomizers within a day or three of first use. I recommend filling a hot sink. Take off the mouthpiece, blow out any packing liquid. Move the atomizer underwater back and forth a few times with some force. Force hot water through it. Blow it out. Repeat a few times. Let dry....that's it. You're good for weeks. Prime with 2-4 drops...attach a cart...let it sit for a minute or so. Good to go.

How long are you firing these things for? 4-5 seconds per drag, couple of drags...then let it cool for 30 seconds or so.

hi, i keep 2-3 carts/attys in rotation and switch them out on the battery. right now i am constantly chain-vaping, just 4 days off the ciggies. if i rotate they don't get too hot, they cool down completely between uses, and i have 2-3 flavors going, lol.

i got that nasty burnt taste in my atty one night when i tried dripping, actually the dripping was working well but i went too long and the atty got too dry-awful taste! i soaked it in alcohol, let it dry, etc., still tasted burnt. i read on here to buy the 91% alcohol (as opposed to the 70% i used), i soaked it in the 91%, let it dry 2 days and it was good as new! looked very clean, like new inside. no more burnt taste.

i hope you find your niche. don't give up!
