So I got my second V3 in today. Put a battery in it and topped it off with my PT2. Set it to 3.5v just like I do with my other V3. I kept getting burnt taste over and over. After playing with it for a while I turned it down to 3.5WATTS and it vapes the same as the other one. If you do the conversion 3.5v with a 2ohm head comes out to ~6watts. So why is the same setup I have been using vaping the same at 3.5volts on one V3 and 3.5watts on the other??

Throw a voltmeter on it and see if it's actually putting out the right voltage...
I mean it's not like it's a "budget" rig out of China...right? ;)

Weird though...is it getting the same air draw thru the Pro Tank?

Well it gets a little weirder. So the first V3 that has been working great is putting out around 2 volts, according to my voltmeter, when I have it set at 3.5 volts. The new one is putting out 3.5 volts when set at 3.5 volts but tasting burnt. Now, I have been using the same tanks on my V2 mega and they taste fine. The Mega tested at 3.5 volts when set at 3.5 volts which is what I have been using it at with no burnt taste. I'm kinda stumped. And yes, the air draw seems the same.

I was led to believe that the V3 Chip eliminated the old NO1 mode AVG? I think, however my Vamo V5 with supposedly the same chip has both modes. Check your menus to determine if you actually can change modes, this "might" be the problem. Just guessing.

You are right that the V3 did away with the NO1 NO2 modes. Have no clue if it's back in V5.

Thankfully I found this thread! My V4, supposedly with the V3 chip/V2 body, was running in Mean mode, not RMS. Just switched it and much better at least initially. Going to try some of the tanks that this thing was absolutely frying last night to see if they work better now too. Thank you thank you!

Glad it helped you out!! Everything should work fine now. All my tanks work great after I figured this out!!
