I've been experiencing some inconsistency with Vision Nano clearomizers. I've started vaping last week (i was a 2 pack a week Marlboro Light smoker). Bought a kit last week with 2 Vision Nano clearomizers, 2 510 manual batteries and a charger. I've charged the batteries up, filled a clearo with some juice, let it soak in for a few minutes and started vaping.

I've tried disposables before and this was a lot better ! more taste and more vape and a better throat hit (i am using 11mg liquid). I've filled it twice and no problem whatsoever with leaking. Unfortunately after 2 days the clearo got broken. The ring on the bottom got loose and was leaking, probably because i used to much stress on that part while unscrewing the batteries from the clearo. So i threw away the first clearo and filled the second one up, let it soak for a while and started vaping again.

I've tried the second clearo for a few days but somehow i did not get any throat hit at all using the same liquid. I've tried many ways of inhaling and sucking, short or long (3-10 seconds). I was getting kind of desperate, thinking it was my imagination that i had better throat hit with my first one. Then i also discovered it was leaking onto the battery :glare:. So i thought i did something wrong which caused the second one to be broken too. I was ready to give up on vaping. To give it a last chance i've ordered 2 new clearos.
The day after when i got the new clearos in the mail i've filled up the third one and it did give me back the throat hit !!:toast:. I've compared the second clearo with my third clearo by trying them out side of side and it noticed a big difference. Not only by taste/vape/throat hit but the third one gives me a "pop" sound when i press the button. The second one never did that. So i gave up on the second clearo and threw it away.

The first fill for the third one was without leaking but the second fill did leak again ! (and the fills thereafter). It's not a continuous leak, more like a few drops but enough to flood onto the battery. After cleaning it out it does work without leaking until the next fill.

So i did some googling, stumbled upon this site and discovered that the Vision Nano relies on vacuum to hold the liquid in. When the mouthpiece is unscrewed, you need to fill it in 45-60 seconds otherwise it will leak. However everytime i refill it, i use a second or 20, that includes unscrewing and putting the mouthpiece back. Even with that kind of speed it still leaks ...... it's kind of bugging me that i need to clean out everytime i refill. First i always filled with the battery on the clearo but the last few fills are with the battery unscrewed but no difference, it's still leaking after a fill.

Besides that, after filling i am always afraid that i will loose the consistency. I've filled the third clearo for a few times now, sometimes it's giving me good throat hits right after filling. Sometimes the first 10 draws are like vaping air, no hit no taste. I never fill it when it's empty, mostly i fill it when the liquid is reaching the 2 tiny bottom holes and sometimes i fill it when the tank is half empty.

Any tips or explanation would be appreciated. Is this normal for bottom coil clearos to leak everytime after filling ? am i doing something wrong. Are there anything i need to know which i did not describe in this post ?

i did read through all of the posts in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...remely-easy-no-invert-no-syringe-fill-22.html

can give me some more detailed info ?

things like, how many of them have you used now ? do they give a different experience ? (if u used multiple)

do you fill them when they are half full of when it's really empty ? how many seconds do you take to fill them up ?

do you get the "pop" sound (and sometimes some crackling) when using ? or just a sound of "streaming air" ?

In general, it's best to fill clearos off the battery, just to make it easier to keep everything clean.

With Nanos, you don't have to do the fill operation in 20 seconds - but after filling the tube, get the drip tip back on within that time. Otherwise capillary action can cause some juice to move into the air tube.

Yes, if the tube separated from the base, it's trash. (Like cartos, they should be considered disposables, no rebuild possible.)

If leaking, take them off the battery and with the tip pointed down (into a tissue to catch the drips), blow gently from the battery connection end. Hopefully that will help.

When your battery gets flooded with juice current flow is impaired, so just cry it off with a cotton swab or twist of tissue. And dry off the threaded portion of the Nano as well.

Also, like much of our gear, these are cheaply mass produced. Variations do crop up, so perhaps the second one you mention fell there, and had a coil resistance much higher than it should have been. It's also possible that you overtightened it to the battery, which can sometimes cause the topper's center post to twist and affect the internal connection of the wires of the coil. Just snug!

I don't have any experience with the Vision Nano but I have used a similar device.

CE3 XL Clearomizer

I've had pretty good luck with these. You do need a syringe to fill them (one is included in the box), and they need to be filled upside down.

I've gone through about 5 of these in two months. There's been some slight variation in performance but nothing drastic. Decent vapor production.

Oh man what a bummer :( I was checking these out, and didn't realize you had a time limit for putting the tip on. Last week I had to use an old tank that leaked. Keep cotton swabs handy for wiping down the threads. Hopefully you can get situated with something that doesn't leak. The STAM CE5 from Madvapes was my first clearomizer. It's cheap and it never leaked. I dropped it and the 1100 mah battery it was attached to on a rock.....then it rolled into the lake. When I plucked the battery out it was in pieces. The clearo was fine washed it and used it for 2 more weeks.

If I've read one thread describing problems with clearos, I've read a thousand.

Switch to a good tank cartomizer delivery system and you will have much better consistency and no hassle and no muss. Mine never leaks and is virtually the same, day in and day out, until the carto needs replaced with a fresh one, about 7 - 14 days.

Not a big deal. Take off the tip, hold at an angle, fill, set juice bottle down, put tip on. Cap the bottle.

Nano's - Poor Build consistency.

I purchased a 10 pack
3 work excellent
4 are hit and miss - Okay if casual vaping or get dry hits
1 leaks like a funnel
2 almost impossible to get anything out

Glad I got them on a deal at $1.99ea
Will never buy another

Kanger T3-mini and Evod are 100 times better.

If you need the thin design and can handle a syringe - Ce2 Rev4 or Rev5 in metal casing!

I've not had any actual experience with these, but I have read that they have a lot of problems. Since you are using 510 batteries, I would recommend good cartomizers. I've had good luck with Kanger and Boge. You need to get standard resistance, not low resistance. I have had really big problems with Smoktech cartomizers, but some people like them. Again with 510 batteries, you need to use standard resistance cartomizers. The low resistance ones are for batteries like the eGo or mods.

I've thought about trying cartomizers and actually have a cartotank sitting around that's never been used. I've heard they're better for flavor. But they just seem too "fiddly". With the priming and making sure the carto filler is saturated before initial use, and if it's not done right you burn it out and have to replace it... I don't know, I just keep using clearos.

I've tried to vape till the level of the liquid was under the two holes and then fill, seems like that does not give any leakage. I did get leakage when i filled when it's half full (or level of the liquid above the two holes). So the bottomline is that if you dont want any leakage, vape till the liquid is beneath the two tiny holes. This fill gave me instantly good taste, vape and hit. Hopefully the clearo i used before this one was just a accident though i am reading that more people experience the same problem so i still cross my fingers.

Just put 20 drops of eliquid in the carto, spin it around a couple of times, put it in the tank, fill tank, wait a few minutes and vape hassle free for the next 7 - 14 days.

Or 2 days if you have really dark juices.:glare: I did learn what light/clear can mean to the wallet.:)
