Quick question guys. When DIYing and you got the perfect blend at 50/50 but Say you want more clouds and want to go 20/80. Do you increase the flavors to compensate for the decrease in PG?
The conventional wisdom is that PG is a better flavor carrier and that as one decreases it's ratio to VG, more flavoring is required to arrive at a juice that tastes the same.
I personally would make a small tester first. Your taste buds may not notice any diminished flavors and if they do. . . you can adjust for the final mix. If you are one that likes throat hit and notice less with the new percentages, I find adding some Everclear (Pure Grain Alcohol) or flavored Vodka to the mix helps. Just my ¢3 (inflation). Good luck to you and happy mixing.
I would suggest trying it before you add more flavoring, as I use vg, vg based nic and flavorings and have never increased my flavoring, if anything the longer I vape the more I end to decrease my flavorings
I'm a max VG user and usually vape like 10/90 so my flavors combined can only equal 10 percent total so if I have 3 flavors in recipe and one is a sweeter I can cut back on the sweeter some because the VG is somewhat sweet by nature so I can run that at 2% which leaves 8 % to be divided between the remaining flavors as I see fit usually 5%of the fruit and 3% of vanilla or cheesecake or whatever it is and it usually works out good.
