I just got a 15 ml bottle of Dawn to Dusk. It's awfully chalky. Like crushed ground Ghiradelli cocoa powder. My friend suggested I let it steep, but the "Born on Date" says 10/8/13.

Does Indigo sell pre-steeped juices from batches or do they mix them fresh? If they mix them fresh, did they do a college trick and write "8th" when it was really a week ago? My friend says give it a week, but when I tried it the very first time, it was in his RSST. I wonder if this is one of those notorious coffee flavors that just tastes powdery and chalky no matter how long they steep...

Hey there, Indigo fangirl here...

dawn to dusk is one in my regular rotation. I don't get any coffee out of mine...mostly a tobacco/smoky with a bit of cherry. I got my first taste as a sample and loved it right off the bat. Which is weird because I don't like cherries IRL. My first 15mL bottle needed about a week or two to settle before it tasted like my sample.

I have now a 30mL bottle that has been sitting for 2 months since the "born on" date and it's just right. I can vape it right out of the mail, but the flavors are very "bright", so I prefer the 2 week "age".

It will continue to mellow.

I just put some in a tank yesterday, and at 2 months the smokiness is really becoming evident. I can sort of get where the "chalky" taste might come in, although to me it's a dry, smoky taste, which I really like as it tastes sort of like smoking.

I use Evods and my spinner @ 4.3V with this one.

ETA: the pre-steeped juices are usually the tobaccos. If you go to the website, click on the "Reserve" tab and you'll see what they have available.
