I would like some opinions on this. I just want to try out one before I try IBtanks one for 25 dollars. It say that the tank is acrylic..how will that hold up to juice?

It depends upon what juices that you will put into the tank. Acrylic is very similar to polycarbonate in that it is vulnerable to crack or melt with certain flavors.

I've researched and collected a lot of information on this topic in this link:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3733-something-safe-cinnamon-citrus-flavors-click-here-read.html

If you do not plan to put any of the volatile flavors in this tank, it shouldn't crack or melt. However, although I do understand your desire try out a cheaper tank before paying more for a glass or polypropylene-tubed tank, let me caution that you might get what you pay for. It has been my experience that the vast majority of tanks sold for under $15 or so were not worth wasting your money on.

If your main reason for getting a cheaper tank is to try one out, my main concern is that you will have a bad experience with it because of cheap and inferior parts/construction and then swear off tanks, because you've tried them and they sucked. Well, you tried a poor excuse for one and got results that I would expect from a cheap tank. I see it all the time here on the forums. The cheaper tank will not be a fair representation to the higher quality tanks available.

Others here may disagree with me, but I say save your money until you can spend at least $20-25 on a decent quality tank setup.

Try the Boge F-16 tank on the cheap. I do switch out the carto for a 3ohm. This is a nice intro carto tank.

I second Tibby. Those are exactly what I use now and they work perfectly fine.

But definitely pay close attention to the warnings Baditude laid out, since there are ways to make the tank crack. Otherwise, no leaks and those Boge F-16 tanks work great.

I get mine at $6.49 with a whole setup, free shipping, at SureVapes. $25 is too much for my taste for 1 tank since it's nice to have multiple tanks for different flavors.

I prefer glass tanks since I tend to vape juices like Atomic Fireball, which can destroy a thin plastic tank like the Boge F-16. I feel like the glass tanks work better if you are a person that would plan on vaping anything that could crack a plastic tank. In my opinion $25 dollars is a good deal for a glass tank.

Hey there Cocacola,

I know what you are going through. After reading the forums about how people liked cartos and tanks, I wanted something to try out to see if I liked it as well. I started out with a generic dct tank from my local vape place, but I knew that the juices I was using would not affect a polycarbonate tube.

Now, if you want to be on the safe side, and yet not spend too much money, may I suggest a polypropylene tube such as this:
Pro DCTank Tube | TheVapeStore.com®
Now this is just the tube, with the caps and o-rings. I picked up two of these, knowing I wanted to try flavors like Fire&Ice (which has a high cinnamon content). So far so good. Been using them for about a week now, and no damage from the cinnamon from what I can see. Have run about 5ml thru that tank. These tanks will probably be my workhorses till I decide on one of the higher end tanks.

Hope this has helped you, and keep the vape going :vapor:

^yes. You can use any XL carto from Boge or Smok in them, but Boge makes specific replacement carto's for the F16 and F17 tanks. They are F16 Tank Replacement Carto's. They're just a little smaller in diameter than a regular carto and slide VERY easily in the o-rings. So watch out for that. Or just put in a normal carto and be done with it.

I just got my triple V 7mL tank from Valley Vapes. For $22 it is absolutely fantastic. It is big, but on my Lavatube V2 it looks really good (just ever so slightly smaller in diameter). Sadly, there is now a large backorder on them and they (or maybe just he) is shut down for 1-2 weeks to catch up. Although bad for people looking for a quality inexpensive tank, it says a lot for the quality of these tanks.

I will state that I received my order very quickly. Of course I also had them notify me when the tanks came back in stock and I was probably one of the first orders.
