Ok so I just got my Magma clone in. It's pretty flippin sweet!

However... I have some questions about improving it a bit more.

1. What's the best place to drill more air holes? I like the concept of the magma and I did expect it to be more of a flavor rda, but I feel like it could use just a tad more airflow to it. Could I drill holes next to the ones on the bottom? Could I also drill around the top cap area?

2. What are some wicking methods for it? I understand it's got a huge juice well. I just wanna make sure my cotton is getting fully saturated and not just the top part.

3. Airflow ring is kind of a pain. Am I better off just leaving it off? I'm not wanting to make the flow more restricted, so why have it?

I wouldn't drill more holes, but if you must, go through the top of the top cap. The tight draw contributes to the flavor, which is what this RDA is all about. You could also throw on a AFC drip tip.

Just run your wick to touch the bottom of the well. Keep it off the deck or you'll have leaking.

You can take the AFC ring off if you want, but be aware that it may make your drip tip touch your posts. It's on you, but I wouldn't.

I just drilled out the biggest holes on the AFC to be slightly bigger than the holes on the atty, and one of the small holes to the biggest size. This lets me do single coils with one big hole open over the coil and a tiny one on the other side for a bit more air. Making the biggest holes a step bigger also gives you some play in aligning them.

What could happen if the tip touches the post? My lips getting burnt?
