My first mech mod was an Infinite Panzer, and I loved it. But after dropping it once on the firing button, the locking ring doesn't work anymore. Because I didn't feel comfortable carrying it around in my pocket, I bought a second about 6 months ago. Like my first, I love it, but I am having some problems with the bottom pin.
If I screw it together all the way, the mod won't fire at all. The pin just doesn't clear the insulating ring. No problem, I just unscrew it a little until it can fire. However, when I do this, the locking ring doesn't fully lock the button down. There is some wiggle room, and the mod can fire sometimes.
What I'm wondering is whether there is an easy fix for this, or if I can get just the firing button somewhere. I don't know if the authentic threads will match the Infinite threads. I don't mind if I have to buy the firing button from MCV as long as it will fit right. But spending $30 for an unknown is not worth it. And just buying a 3rd is out of the question, since I don't know if the new one will have the same issues
