Information on the Vamo V5

So I ordered a Vamo V5 and as I was shopping for it I noticed that the stainless steel version was always more expensive than the other finishes. Why is this? Is it just an aesthetic reason or is there a difference in quality? I may want to consider switching to the stainless steel version if there are some options on it that make it worth the extra price but I really like the black chrome finish better. Any ideas?

Stainless steel is more expensive than a black chrome finish over a cheaper metal. There are some issues with the chromed finish flaking - nothing that will cause any detraction from the functionality in any way shape or form - just a note to be aware of :)

VAMO V5 - Black Chrome If you look under the "You Will Receive" section you will see an example of vendor notice on the finish issue.

Im sure actual performance between the three vamo 5s is identical - but the SS is a more durable metal, probably has better threading and will continue to look as it does for the most part as it does not have a finish coating.

It's just cause the finish is different. It's a thicker steal than the other bodies. I have a V5 Stailess. And I can tell you first hand three important factors with the device...

1) Don't drop it. Mine fell less then a foot onto a hard wood floor and the bottom cap threads bent and very hard to remove now to use in 18350 mode. It'sd a backup now so I don't care.

2) Don't push the button hard. My adjustments button after about a month are uneven and the left button is sunken in considerably. I have read it is a problem with the board inside twisting, but since it's a backup again I don't care anymore.

3) Don't drop it.

Ok here's a fourth. Make sure it is in RMS mode as if not the flavor will taste like burnt *&^.

I guess really I had five. Get something else if this is your only mod. You will definitely want a backup because while it is a great short term device, i found mine personally to be junk.

I'll take this into consideration. While I don't want to jump into a provari type I figured I'd get my toes wet with this for now so I take things slow on getting used to how a VV/VW mod works.
