LLynn, welcome. I too am new, and I'll share a little of my fresh experience....
I started at 18mg and find myself going to 24 at times when I'm really having a fit.
When I smoked cigs, I drew into my mouth then inhaled. I find myself inhaling directly from the carto. I also exhale thru my nose more than I did with cigs. I'm partial to WOW carts because they give more vapor, heat, substance and aroma which help to replace what I miss from cigs (besides the nic). I chain vaped the first week, but it has tapered off. I drink lots more water, tea, whatever than I used to (and wake with a fuller bladder than I used to). I haven't experienced sore throat, so none of this may be useful to you.

I sometimes crave a cig, but I remind myself its just mental.... walk thru a smoking section and smell the ICK. That'll help convince and remind you of that. Or ceremoniously burn one, and watch smell the filth.

Get a couple of the new 7ml USA juices... No7 in particular has good throat hit. But I like single-malt scotch and Foster's Special Bitter Ale. BIG flavors.

I am new to vaping, and want so bad for it to work, I chain vape alot, basically anytime I sit , which bothers me, I know it's not as bad as smoking but still, I need to work on cutting back like I did with analogs
I still want to smoke an analog, but know I really won't like the taste, but it makes me nuts sometimes thinking about it
hope that lessens as time goes by

in answer to the question of what kind of carts, I use the cool carts, premium tobacco flavor alternating between 8 and 11 mg nic, I tried some of the sample carts sent fruit and methol flavors, did not care for them

I smoked American SPirit ultra lights before I quit, maybe I am getting too much nic, but how can I get the throat hit with a lower level?
