When I got my mail today and realized my Reo Grand had arrived sooner than I expected, my excitement turned to panic and disappointment. My batteries haven't arrived yet!! In the mean time, these are my first impressions:

Size: The grand is smaller than I thought it would be, which is a good thing since I wanted a mini but was too slow to get through checkout. That being said though, it does feel a bit awkward in my small hands, not quite sure which way to hold it so that it is comfortable while I press the button.

Weight: Even with no battery and an empty bottle, this thing definitely has some weight to it! The more I hold it, the more I get used to it. I had read that they were a bit heavy, but I must say it is deceptive when you see it.

Color: I opted for the silver/blue. The blue door is a very nice shade/finish but the silver is not what I was expecting, it has a rough, frosty, speckled (not quite sure how to describe it!) finish to it. I had read that there were some problems at the anodizers with this batch, so maybe this isn't the norm? I am still trying to figure out if I like it or not, it will hide fingerprints, scratches and dents well, but at the same time it kind of looks a bit beaten up, lol.

Now I will stalk my mailman until my batteries arrive so I can see the most important thing: how it vapes!

Once you vape from it, you won't care if it's purple & green plaid with fuzzy dice hanging from it.

This is the truest thing you will read here. I could care less what mine looks like after having used it a week. When I want a pretty one I will try to buy a woodvil. You will love it, if not sell it to me :)

Once you get the hang of it, the Grand will feel incredibly natural to hold. I remember thinking it would be bigger, too! Now I can't imagine it any other way- it's virtually perfect for me!

I got two Mini's after buying my Grand, and I feel out in left field when I use them lol. The Grand is perfect for me.

:) I know what your saying.... The mini is so darn mini I keep feeling like I am going to drop it.

Im on the woodvils 80%, the Grand 18%, and the Mini 2% of the time :)

I will always have one mini around, but I will have more than one Grand and Woodvil.
And maybe a couple of Mini woodvils too !!

Pictures please :)

So how does everyone press the button on their grands? Thumb or index finger? I think with smaller hands the index finger is easier, for me anyways. Here's some pics, just curious if this is the usual silver finish?

Thanks for the pictures. I compared the back of my mini and grand (both silver) -- my mini resembles your picture more than my grand... my grand's silver seems more flat and doesn't have the flecky look that my mini silver has.

EDIT: I like the flecky silver better -- it just seems more silvery LOL!

I have looked through all the family photos and it is just so hard to tell but it seems like there are many different silver finishes. Some are so smooth and reflective it they almost look like a mirror!
From what I understand Rob did do the shiny mirror like finish at first. There were many complaining about the fingerprints showing up, trouble keeping them shiny. I guess that would bug me also. I am always trying to keep my finish nice looking. Anyway, Rob went to this finish so they would look better when used, not just sitting on a shelf. If he does the nickle finish he is talking about this next batch, they might be more shiny.

The finish on the grands this run is not what I normally have it is more textured.I have said it but I will say it again. The anodize rs over etched the mods. They ran them through there tumblers to fix there mistake. So I lost the smoother finish I normally have on the mods. I was left with take it or toss the whole lot .imo opinion there exceptable was I happy certainly not but I wasn't about to toss 200 grands and wait another 6 weeks for more

No worries, its not like I am going to be sending it back or anything (already got it all loaded up with juice for when my batteries arrive, hopefully tomorrow), and I am so glad that you didn't toss them and make me wait another 6 weeks!! It just makes them unique, I knew that it would be a bit different before I bought it, but I just didn't really know what to expect or have any basis of comparison! Pictures just don't do these things justice :)
