Ugly, in my opinion :-(

I'm not sure it's ugly... but why is the screen on the opposite side from the buttons? That makes no sense at all. Think I'll stick with sigelei if I ever decide to go for a hi-power device; one button, but it's on the same side as the screen! I mean, D'OH!

Here you go: A PBusardo Video - The Evolv/Innokin Collaboration

I think you were trying to do... this...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8G0Ve8n_QQ&list=TLTqcD3KWIYp5IXns5t0HKLv-YDZGq5TUE

[Edit] I think you might have been trying to do something different. Something that I just tried doing. The new forum software is running amok though and all I could manage was a link with link text, not a description.

Regardless, "George" from Innokin says the price will be "reasonable". Considering their MSRP on the SVD is something around $100 for the full kit, I'm expecting this to either get close to or break the $150 mark. Not that they are going to get it. Give it a couple weeks and the Ebay vendors will have an express kit for $60.

In the Video George says it will be released in early september. I'm personally looking forward to it. 20watts is perfect for me and I trust Innokins durability.

The Provari's screen is on the opposite side of the button and it works just fine.

I am not at all interested in the 20watt evolv/innokin but I am hoping their deal will lead to evolv boards becoming less expensive as evolv continues to grow. I wouldn't mind having another 30w device but I don't want to pay over $200 for it, and the only ones that interest me are over $200. Hopefully if I just wait it out I can get a device that is what I want and in my price point.

Lots of folks have expressed an interest in a 30watt VTR....I'd love to see that too. especially if it had an adjustable Ring or interchangeable ring sizes ?

I would rather take a 30w MVP but I would take a 30w VTR in a heartbeat

either one sounds good to me and i do believe one or both just might be in future planning, at least i hope!
if their user orientated (innokin) like they say they will come up with something we want in the box mod 20 to 30 watt range.

I'd like to see vendors turning more toward the box form factor.. I didn't like them at first, but after owning a SiD (zmax style) the thing fell over all the time no matter what topper I put on it. Setting it on its side just meant it would roll... And it's not exactly stealthy in the hand.. Good weapon in a pinch though.. Lol
That, or a control head with a MUCH smaller footprint... Like kick height with a screen...
I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't start with putting this chip in the mvp. I think that would have better served their customer base and new customers.
Just my thoughts. I wouldn't get one, but I'm not their target audience... They seem to be targeting those just upgrading from egos... Those happy with clearos but need more battery copacity.

The only question I have is will they start to stand behind there product. The SVD is a good PV but it really has had considerable problems with the switch. When they are good they are very good but when they are bad you get zero support. I have the SVD and love it but my switch has started to fail, it's an authentic and around three months old bought new. I reached out for Innokin and so far I've got radio silence.

The wife has an MVP and it's been solid so they can manufacture a good product but the SVD switch seems to be plagued with issues.

I never thought I would say this but when the P3 comes out with VW I may pick one up just for the support.

Did you purchase from an authorized dealer ? Or a third party vendor ? Their warranty is 90 days I believe. I'd love to see them offer a 6 month warranty with the option to extend. That would be great and would go a long way in convincing people that the Innokin/Evolv partnership is a long term collaboration...

David, first excellent avatar picture!

And I have to eat some crow. I emailed them about my problem last week and this morning they gave me a repair center to send it back to for repair or exchange. I agree that 3 months isn't enough time and if they build a quality product they should offer a longer warranty. That also has to be based on how they person treats the PV. If it's beat to hell then the warranty should be voided. Mine looks like the day I took it out of the box and has never had any liquid drip into the 510 connection. If you didn't know it was used you would think it was new by looking at it.

If you have the original box they state they will take care of you. I am going to send it back and see what happens. I'll follow up for those that are interested.

Quick update.

I spoke to Deborah at Electra Vapor, they are a service center for Innokin and it was a good conversation. She expressed that Innokin has heard the concerns regarding the switch on the SVD and the new versions have been upgraded. To this point they have not had a claim against the upgraded switch which is being tracked by the Innokin authentication code.

I have sent my unit back and expect to receive a new unit. Now here is the good news, Innokin is standing by their switch on the old unit if you have the original box and the unit is in respectable condition. Mine looked like the day I bought it, if you beat yours up or don't have the original packaging you stand no chance of exchange. I believe that is reasonable and was somewhat surprised by how easy it was to get this resolved. This is the second overseas vendor that has heard concerns about warranty and made an adjustment.

All that being said, I haven't got the new unit in my hands yet so if something changes I'll post.
