HI,
Just received the coolfire 4Plus 70w. Excuse me for being naive, I'm no expert, but I'm a little perplexed. On the display, if you set the power in watt mode, the voltage reads 0.0, and vice versa for voltage mode. however, if you switch between wattage and voltage mode, the display reads the last set value, regardless of whether the set wattage corresponds to the set voltage.

so am I to understand that, if I have say the wattage set at 15, and the voltage set at 6, (Just an example) When I switch between wattage and voltage mode, I am switching between two completely different power settings? I am coming from and I stick 30, and I have sort of gotten used to The way that the voltage and wattage always switch with each other (as well as both being displayed)for a given resistance. Any help on this issue is very appreciated, thanks!

No, the display reads in real time. According to Ohm's law, if the coil (resistance) stays the same, then changing volts must also change watts, and vice versa. If you have a coil of X value, and set 30 watts, the the machine will supply Y voltage to make that watts setting (the machine figures out what voltage to supply). If you change the wattage setting to 35, it will apply a different voltage to comply with your setting; in this example a higher one. The volts currently read 0 because you aren't pushing the fire button. Put an atomizer on it, push the button and then read the volts; it will offer some number, then go back to 0 when you release the button. Change the watts and repeat, it will show you a different number for volts, and still go back to zero when the button is not pressed.
