In truth, it's old technology but quite good technology if you are not interested in exceeding the limits.
I had one for a long time and it took some beatings; one evening it was permanently firing in my pocket when I didn't know...all the way to totally drained.
For the money, they are not a good deal anymore, not really. Mine was finally killed by leaving a leaking evod clearomizer on it for 24 hours.
It did last longer than all my Spinner batteries, but ultimately, it wasn't really powerful enough for tanks
like BVC and other dual coil tanks, so personally I wouldn't recommend it, no.
It's probably over $25, even from China, and you could buy something in a small box form that is better in every respect and cheaper.

If it interests you, when Kanger changed their small clearomizers (evods, mini Protanks etc.) I was sent some clearos like the evod 2 and evod glass and protank 3 by a UK vendor to offer a review.
I tried them out on a genuine mod (variable volt) and the iTaste vv4 and the Vision Spinners.

My conclusion was that the iTaste VV v4 was not powerful enough to use dual coil clearomizers satisfactorily, so I refused to review the products, because calling them "good" when they needed to be used on a proper mod would be misleading new vapers.

So - this battery might make you happy with evod 1 or Protank mini 1&2, but not with anything more power hungry..... it also won't bring your K1 atomizers to life, sadly.

The CLK was more powerful, by the way, and curiously cheaper.

you may want to upgrade to something a bit more robust in design and wattage... My favorite vape after dealing with Egos was the SVD and Provari.... altho they only go up to about 12-15W, they are well built and can handle some decent drops ( fumble finger syndrome)... eventually I went to the IPV4 and 5 for my all day vapes...

the small Innokin mods are ok for occasional vaping but arent built for constant hard usage... The Clk has an issue with the controller knob on the bottom... it loosens up and fails...

Good comment. I also didn't know the CLK was fragile.... aw shucks... bad suggestion from me.

What about the Eleaf pico? That's another one I was looking at which is also in the $20 range. I really like how the pico looks a lot better but I am just curious how comfortable it would be to carry around in my front Jean pocket?

MUCH, much better. Oh, my... so much better. :)
I carry a Pico with a GS Air M tank most days.
It fits in my jeans pocket. In fact, I carry a wallet, a mobile phone and a Pico (or iStick 40) all in two pockets.

OK sweet! I also carry my wallet in my front pocket with my keys and mobile phone, lol.

Gear best has it for $28 from the US warehouse. I'll look around maybe someone has a deal on it for Christmas.

Great!
Just be aware, if you use eGo clearomisers (your small tanks) you will need an adapter. The iSticks sometimes came with them, but I don't think the Pico did.

The 30w listed at Gearbest (UK) does say it's included. I just searched for "510 to eGo adapter" at Gearbest. They don't stock it as a single item, but it did find 2 results.

I have four Picos and definitely love them, but we also have a pile of the original little iSticks with the built-in batteries (like this, though there are higher watt versions available now; we don't vape above 15 watts, so it's fine for us), and my husband likes these a lot better for pocket because they're lighter (about 90 grams vs 135 for the Pico, with battery in). We use mostly Nautilus Mini tanks with both the iSticks and the iStick Picos (and our Provaris, etc), and they're really dependable, reliable and easy. If you go for the Nautilus Mini, for carrying around you might want to switch out the tank for protective covered tank (like this or this).

ProVape has the Provari 2.5 and the 2.5 Mini on special right now for $19.99 - no choice on color, but a good deal. You will need a battery and a charger, both available on the site. I just got one for myself, with charger and batteries, plus a couple of backups for my daughter and myself. I had gotten my daughter the 2.5 Mini starter kit last month when her VV3 started having charging issues, and she loves it.

How would the Evic VTC mini compare to the Pico? I see the Pico is much shorter but wider. Would the Evic be of higher quality or are they about the same?

I'm fairly sure I openly admitted I preferred the Evic VTC mini to the iStick Pico in every respect.
I expect more way more than 50% of people will disagree. People who bought the Pico just like to tell themselves is was better, as it was newer. Personally, I think it's marginally less good quality.
Fundamentally, they do the same thing, although there are a few variations in the way you adjust the temperature control which means I prefer the Evic as well. Mostly I don't use TC though.
