I have a new Innokin iClear 60 from fast tech. Kapow! I cannot believe how much this improved the flavor of my juices, but....

When I use the iClear my lips start to burn from my menthol juice. It is leaking somewhere. I assume it is leaking where the mouthpiece rotates and juice is running down the mouthpiece and onto my lips.

Is there some type of fix? I don't want to give up on the iClear 60 since the taste is so good!

The knuckle on my rotating driptip is STIFF. The knuckle part does unscrew as well, so you might try to tighten that piece if it moves about too freely. Make certain the driptip portion is screwed securely into the top cap, but don't over tighten the top cap -- you don't want to break the plastic threads :)

It takes a while to figure out the Iclear30 (and iclear16s) quirks, but once you do, they are wonderful clearo vapes. And the flavor is outstanding for the form factor.

Jefsciew is asking the correct questions.

I had:

1) a customer come in and physically remove the wicks from his iClear 16 because (against normal rules) no one explained to him that they are one of the central components to making clearos work. /Facepalm. Our own fault.

2) another customer didn't realize the rubber grommet was there on purpose and thought it was only shipped that way because the rubber tube on top of the mouth piece. He took it out, came back wondering why his iClear was leaking.

Also, screw the replacement head in nice and tight. I had a woman upset because her device wasn't hitting right. I opened up the iClear and the head fell out. There's the problem. At least it's an easy fix.

Seems to me that the three biggest issues with iClear 16's are 1) user error - they break it. 2) The mouthpiece. The threads get stuck together and can come loose. 3) The base.

Also, noobs don't screw in the head tight enough.

I warn people of all this fiddly things when purchasing iClears. An improvement on an inherently flawed design (clearos).

I have done each of these and it still leaks! Argh!

an issue i've found with the iclear 16 is this - and maybe its after they've been used for some time, idk, but i find the plastic tank seems to become unseated from the smooth bottom ring. not the knurled base, but the smooth metal tank ring at the bottom.

so what happens is that it gets offset if it gets bumped or even just slightly mishandled thru everyday use. so then the head and silicone cap become misaligned with the driptip. i can hold the metal ring and the plastic tank and move it back into position, sometimes hearing and feeling a slight pop as it reseats. well, it kind of reseats. it's never quite the same and there's a noticeable gap that can be felt between the ring and the plastic tank lip.

the plastic tank will also unseat and raise up from the ring (probably related to the problem above), so even though everything is screwed in snugly, if you look you'll see a slight gap between the top of the silicone head cap and the bottom of the drip tip. sometimes i can remove the clearo and put it base down on a firm surface, hold the plastic tank, and push it back down to reseat. if i can't get that to work, i'll remove the drip tip, use some tweezers or something and reach in and pull the silicone cap up just a smidge as a temporary fix.

when these clearos are working, they do work well. but they can be a bit fidgety at times. i like the vapor and taste of them, but i've moved on to other delivery devices, for the most part. i still carry a few with me daily, but seldom use them. i also realize that although they are 'rebuildable', they're still ultimately a disposable product and won't last forever.

my girlfriend is completely satified with them, and she has been using my old ones. i just have to perform a little maintenance on them for her now and again.

Wanna know how I fix that? A cloth placed over the entire clearo and gentle yet firm raps with a rubber mallet. It works. With iClear 16's you have to be gentle.

Same issue for mine.....same fix. with the 16's at least.

I just firmly grip the plastic portion while it is seated a top my MVP and push down until I hear the plastic tank "Click" back in to place.

The alignment of the atomizer tip and the drip tip is a good indicator that something is off.

I also agree at current prices these are a disposable item and I still use my carto tanks more.

i just today noticed this reply, but i came up with a really good way to fix the problem, also. it also might be a method where you can apply a little more control over the fix and not worry about shattering the tank...

i take the iclear, leave the base and drip tip on, and place it longways into a vice that i've put a piece of electrical tape over each jaw. i suppose you could remove the base and drip tip, but i didn't want to damage the threads or the metal rings on the tank. the vice is opened up wide enough to take the whole clearo lengthwise, and i slowly tighten the jaws of the vice until the plastic tank reseats itself into the bottom ring. i test the area where it seats into the ring with my fingernail - if i still feel the gap, i'll give the vice another slight twist until i feel the plastic is fully reseated in the bottom ring.

i thought about using a rubber mallet, but decided against it cos i figured i'd smash down too hard and crack the tank.

i fixed all 10 of my iclears this way, but mine or your way would work just fine - there's more than one way to skin a cat!
