I had this same issue with my evod and just pried the pin ever so slightly with a small flat head screw driver and that took care of it. I'd rather try that first before I pry on the MVP itself.

The same thing will happen in a mini pro tank 2 if the coil is not screwed all the way into the base. It keeps the pin on the bottom of the tank too high up to make contact. Might be true for a full size pro tank, too...
