This is my first post in this extremely helpful forum.
First I want to thanks all the members who contribute on building a concrete base to start vaping.Your help is great, even if you don't always realize it.
Finding this forum made me avoid buying a crappy vaping device and also clarify some notions that were quite hard to understand in the various webshops.
As a newbie I have a question, especially those who own a Innokin VTR.
I am looking to expand my accessories collection and wanted your opinion.Which would be your ideal setup for a VTR.You have to include two clearomizers of around 3ml, one with capacity of more than 6ml and a cartomizer (I just want to taste the difference).Mind that they shouldn't have a diameter higher than 19mm.I have read the compatibility list post,I just want your opinion. If someone can think of other must-haves for my mod,I would be glad to look at them (besides batteries, charger, coils).
Thanks in advance for all replies.

Cheers

The VTR will accept the Innokin iClear 30 series of clearomizers. They have a 3 ml capacity.

The IBTanked pyrex cartotanks are available in a 19mm diameter size. These have a 2.5 - 3.5 ml capacity depending upon it being a standard or XL length. IBTanked Pyrex Cartotanks - Review

You can use a larger capacity/wider diameter tank on the VTR, but not inside the VTR ring. You'll have to use the included extender so the larger tanks can be used atop the VTR.

Be careful which batteries you use in the VTR. It is known to be finicky about battery sizes. The AW 18650 IMR 2000mAh and Efest 18650 IMR 2000mAh batteries are known to fit, but the higher mAh 18650 batteries may be wider or longer and not fit inside the battery door.

I am gonna get these batteries

$15.68 Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

They are supposed to be suitable for VTR.If a fellow member knows different, please do tell me.
For my setup I prefer not to use the extender.
Lastly, previous posts, when they refer to the combination of VTR+IBtanked they only refer to the XL only, so wasn't sure if the standard fits nicely. What about the two clearomizers? Any suggestions?

PS:Baditude, you really helped me a lot with your previous posts. You now own the record of faster reply to a post of mine in any forum that I am a member of.

19mm XL IBTanked is the one that fits. If they are buttontop batteries (all I have) the Efest fit, but now the AW. I am not sure about flattop batteries. And, I had bad results with the Panasonics as they didn't fit and one got damaged.

ETA: 45mm (XL) cartos, flanged or unflanged. I have not had any issues with airflow using unflanged.

Also, a long drip tip is a good idea if you don't want to keep hitting your nose with your mod.

So I guess for a cartomizer I ll settle for the IBtanked.Still I am open to suggestions (fitting the VTR).
How about the normal clearomizer (2.5-3.5ml) and a bigger one (5ml or more).
Can also someone explain the diffference between flanged-unflanged and punched-unpunched cartos?
Thanks again all for your replies.

laser-drilled.jpgtank lengths.jpgtool-punched carto.jpgcarto-punch.jpg

Above is a cartomizer with a flange. The metal "lip" built around the connector end of the carto is the flange. This prevents the tank from sliding too far on the carto towards the battery device. This is not necessary for all cartotanks, mainly for tanks made by Smoktech. The third pic shows a tool-punched carto without a flange.

The first and second pics show pre-punched or laser-drilled carto as noted by the little hole in the steel shaft. This allows e-liquid to enter into the cartomizer from the tank each time you suck on the tank to vape. Cartomizers are also available without the holes (un-punched), but one would need to use a carto punch tool (see last pic) to make their own holes to use these in a cartotank.

Is it a carto, a tank, or what?

I think I made up my mind.I will get the IBtanked cartomizer and besides the iclear30s that comes with the VTR I will also order the Protank 3 and the Vivi Nova L8 plus some coil heads and cartos for each of them. Thanks a lot for your help.

PS The order is not done yet so there is still time to change my mind...:)

Can you specify which panny's you had problems with, I was looking at getting the NCR18650PFs and several people have mentioned the NCR18650B's. I'm looking into ordering a VTR in the next few days and want to make sure I don't have battery issues on arrival.

I'm waiting on a Kayfun Lite Plus atty that should arrive by Saturday. I've never been so happy with a device as I am with this VTR. And the iClear 30S that it comes with puts out MAD vapor!! Just so you know-not all iClears fit. The 30B only fits with the use of the included adapter. I'm also waiting for 2 more 30Ss to arrive. What a GREAT CLEAROMIZER!

So does anyone roughly knows after how many ml cartos/coil heads need replacement? Just give your opinion.

Im going through like 4ml of juice a day. My iclear 30s coils seem to last about a week and then I need to replace them as the vapor production falls off.

I would love to hear of a way to clean these heads so I dont have to replace them as often...
