    Hello and welcome back for today's review of the 2nd generation of the Klypse device called the Klypse Zip. The Zip houses a 650mAh internal battery and uses disposable pods with a 1.2Ω in the kit and a 0.8Ω is available as well as prefilled pods of various flavors. There are no buttons or any type of adjustments to be had because wattage is pre determined by reading what pod is being used, airflow is auto draw only and is a comfortable semi loose MTL. I really liked the original Klypse and was excited to put the Zip through it's paces during testing, after looking at some information from the manufacturer I'll give you my findings of the Klypse Zip from innokin.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    Packaging is a standard box containing the device, one 1.2Ω pod, user manual and warning card. I wouldn't expect to see a fancy packaging box for the simple device the Zip is but would have liked to see 2 pods in the kit instead of 1. My preference of coils or pods with devices like this are in the 0.7Ω or 0.8Ω and I think the 0.8Ω pod should have been included but INNOKIN did send a twin pack of one of the disposable flavors being Blueberry bubblegum and I am glad they did because it is a great flavor.

    I was very eager to try the pre filled pods flavor of Blueberry Bubblegum that INNOKIN also sent and because it sounds like a great combo of 2 flavors that I like and it is. The Blueberry comes across as being a little tart mixed with the candied flavor of Bubblegum with a light ice cooling effect that I found to be very refreshing to vape. The draw of this prefilled pod is tighter than the standard 1.2Ω refillable pod included in the kit, the prefilled pod uses a 1.7Ω coil. Before using the pre filled pod a silicone plug needs to be removed from the mouthpiece as well a a silicone plug on the bottom of the pod, these are put in place to prevent evaporation of juice.

    Like the original Klypse the Zip also uses a dust cover but unlike the original it does not connect to the bottom of the device like the original Klypse does and I wish it did because your left holding the dust cap or putting it in a pocket when vaping, I think this was a missed opportunity to continue the nice function that the Klypse provided.

    The cover and top portion of the Zip use a textured diamond cut pattern, the cover uses a friction connection. A protective plastic cover is on top of the dust cover that can be removed exposing a small hole that a lanyard can be fed through and connected to the Zip. The pods are held in place using 2 very strong magnets at each side of the pod, A protective Yellow sticker must be removed before you can use.

    As most devices like this a rubber plug is used for filling, the Zip uses a side fill and the plug seems like it will hold up well with use. The fill port is of nice size and should fit any sized bottle tip. Airflow comes in through a single small hole on top of the device and is very smooth with no cut off of vape, this is one of the better auto draw devices out of the many I've reviewed in past.

    Located on the bottom is the Type-C USB port and in one corner a LED light that is illuminated when charging or vaping, it is the battery meter that uses 3 colors to indicate the strength of the battery. Green is 100-30% full with Yellow being 30-10% and Red being 10% and under, when it turns Yellow you have a very short amount of vape time left before turning to red so I suggest charging when the LED turns Yellow .

There is no vape while charging option so when you see Red it's pretty much over until charged but it charges very fast.

    I noticed the draw to be a much tighter vape using the pre filled pods than the 1.2Ω partly because the opening on the mouthpiece is smaller and there was a little bit of movement of the pod although the vape quality wasn't effected just being a tighter MTL vape inhale.

    I really wish the dust cap could be held to the bottom like the original Klypse used because it's so small it make a perfect shirt pocket on the go vape device, I found myself just leaving the dust cap at home.

    PROS

    * Lightweight

    * Small size

    * Good Flavor

    * Battery last a long time

    * Attractive

    * Lanyard connection

    * Great Auto Draw

    * Pre Filled Pods Are Compatible

    * Charges Quickly

    CONS

    * Only 1 Pod In The Kit

    * No Charge Cord In The Kit

    * Dies Quickly When Battery Indicator Turns Yellow

    * Replaceable Pods Not Coils

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    I have to say that the Klypse Zip is a solid device being so easy and simple to use it would make a great starter kit for a new vaper. In the 10 or so days of testing it never failed to operate or stop with hiccups from the auto draw, in fact it is a great auto draw. The flavor is good on the 1.2Ω supplied pod but I bet the 0.8Ω pod would produce even better flavor and it's a shame it's not included in the kit. What really didn't surprise me was the pre filled pods, INNOKIN has some of the best disposable vapes and I thought the pre filled would also be and I was correct with the Blueberry Bubblegum flavor, I really like it when it's a very hot day because the flavor is very refreshing. Aside from not using replaceable coils and the dust cap not being able to magnetically attach to the bottom of the Zip I think INNOKIN did a nice job with the Klypse Zip.

    Thanks for the review

    You mention the dustcap has a hole in the top that you can feed the lanyard through. I can’t figure out how you do that as you normally pass the ribbon bit through the narrow string to tie it, and the ribbon would then be over the cap and the string under. I’m sure there’s a really simple way so i thought if i commented you could help me out! Thanks!

    I never actually used a lanyard on it myself. I think it could be done with a long thin lanyard but like you said you would still be going over the cap.
