I have had a SVD for a while and have never heard buzzing when hitting the button. Sounds defective to me
might give this a try first, info sent to me from an EFC Member,
"to fix the vibration/humming issue. Apparently if there's a gap in between the tube and the firing pin area, that's what causes it. You just have to make sure that the tightening screw is completely tight and all the vibrations go away."
