So I ordered an innokin VTR from aquavapor....3 weeks into use the device will not stay on. In order for it to work I need to hold down the trap door for it to register the battery, then I need to turn the device on, all the while holding the trap door down. I have tried both button top and flat top batteries for my mod. Any ideas on how to fix it? my response from aquavapor was "Hopefully the button top will solve your issue."Please note that I had already explained everything I have to you before contacting them.

It sounds like your battery door is a tad to loose. For a quick fix open your battery door all the way up and take a piece of paper or thin cardboard and wedge it between the hinge and the base of the mod. You will have to work with that a bit to get the right thickness but it should prop the door towards the battery a bit to give it more tension. It's not a permanent fix but it might hold you over for a while. The battery door is the weak spot on these mods. Lots of play in them.

I have a VTR and had a issue with it today dealing with a battery. I did a bad thing and drop it on carpet that was laid over concrete. It hit squarely on the bottom. It worked after that, but seemed to be down on power. The battery indicator was showing green, but I decided to charge the battery anyhow. When I removed the battery I notice the bottom negative post on the battery had a "dent" in the center of it.
The trap door has a small (about 1/8 inch) brass nipple in the center where it contacts the battery. I put a new battery in and it is as good as new.
Now to your problem:
Check and see if that small brass nipple is still on your trap door. It looks like it is just glued on. I don't see any indication of it being screwed on. If it has come off that could be your problem as the top spring does not contact the battery until the battery is inside the bottom about 3/32 and the door without the brass nipple is only 1/16 thick. This would not give good contact between the door and the battery if that nipple is missing.
Let us know what you find.

I'm somewhat confused..is the nipple you're talking about a small brass circle? Or more of a peg similar to the one right next to where the battery slot?

The brass "nipple" is on the door itself. Not the peg which is adjacent to the locking switch.

That is still there on my device. It is almost like the peg adjacent to the door lock is too short.

I had not even noticed that brass peg until you spoke of it. I just checked mine and it is spring loaded. If you press down on your peg, does it move toward the top of the mod and spring back if you release it? It must be the "ground" path from the negative end of the battery to the control board.

After talking with Aquavapor they will not stand by their warranty, even though I had initially contacted them about issues before it had expired when my mod had completely broken it had been after the warranty expiration date.

That really sucks. I wouldn't be doing any more business with them that's for sure. I'd be sure to let them know that as well. Along with the fact that you're a member here.
