Innokin VTR Question

Hello fellow Vapers,

I ordered a Innokin VTR a few days ago and should be receiving it tomorrow. There are just a couple of questions I have about the device. I see that this is a VV/VW device. What I don't understand is how can the device regulate the voltage if it is running off of 18650 batteries? My experience with 18650 is limited to my MNKE 18650 1500 mAh (I think) on my Nemesis clone. With the Nemesis, you get the voltage that is left on the battery at any given time. With the VTR, it says VV from 3.0 to 6.0, with Wattage from soemthing like 5.0 to 15.0. I may be off on those numbers but that is besides the point. How can you get more voltage than what is left in the battery?

Thanks in advance for any help. I'll try to check back later today. Also if anyone could recommend a battery that might have a longer battery life than my MNKE 18650's it would be greatly appreciated.

It has some sort of circuitry that boosts the voltage.

It utilizes a boost circuit that can raise the voltage higher than the battery. Much like the LED flashlights that have multiple brightness levels. This does come at a bit of a cost though, you have a loss in this circuitry of around 15%, so you effectively cut the battery life buy 15% or so.
