Hello fellow vapers,
The wait is finally over, my VTR arrived today. I've been searching for a VW box mod for a while and pre-ordered this when i first saw it advertised at UKeCigs.
Everything works as it should and the included iClear 30 kicks out vapour like you wouldn't believe even at 8 watts.
After the initial 5 minutes of excitement reality crashed down on me. This thing is HUGE and weighs 13 ounces (regular ProVari with extension tube and battery weighs 7 ounces). Much too big and bulky for regular use. The button placement just feels wrong and the finish picks up fingerprints even when you don't handle it !
This would work for someone with huge hands and reinforced pockets but for someone used to an MVP sized mod it just makes me feel like i have arrived in the land of the giants.

I was very excited when the pics started showing up. Just love the looks & functionality of the VTR, with the protected "side tank" being spot on. If Innokin would have built it out of aluminum, I would have been the 1st to sign up. But at 13.2oz (same as 2 MVPs ), I can't see me ever dragging this thing around all day.

I just ordered one to replace my screwed up Vamo. Obviously they planned for some folks to lug it around all day because they made a holster. However, I think the majority of folks who will buy this are like me. They want a sturdy device to keep around the house. This thing is either going to live at my desk or on my nitestand.

I'm always dropping mods and messing up the tanks and threads or they're rolling off the counter. I welcome a brick.

I have one on the way. If it is truly as heavy as you all say, then I can set it on the nightstand and retire "The Enforcer" - the aluminum baseball bat sitting by the head board (just in case of axe murderers and random zombie attacks.) Don't tell me this thing won't leave a mark if swung with the proper velocity and a nasty attitude!

If it's a great PV and doubles as a home security device then what's not to love?

OK,

I'm in love with this thing. Its not near as big as I had envisioned. Honestly I wouldnt have cared either way. Take 3 iphones and stack them. Thats about as big as it is.

Yes, its a fingerprint magnent. Who cares.

The menu is simple and does what I need it to do. VV/VW/Ohms. I dont mind the green/orange/red light because what, You dont have a spare battery with you? Do you really need to know EXACTLY how much you have left?

Heavy. Its good and heavy. I would argue that it its still pocket friendly because while being smaller than the MVP, the tank is in the mod, so it a brick, not a small brick with a tank sticking out of the top. I bought it to put in my cupholder, nightstand, work desk and couch. I really like the idea of being able to fall asleep with it near me without fear of rolling over on it, like I did with my twist and mini pt.

The Hit: Its amazing. No pulsing or loud crackling, just quiet, smooth vapor. The iClear 30s is really going to give the PT a run for its money. I'm using the same juice I've been using for over a month and I have never tasted it so clearly. I will be ordering extra tanks to keep handy (for boba's and non menthols).

Design Flaw: the only really design flaw is the ring at the bottom of the connector. The tank seems to wiggle a little bit on it and rattle against the ring. When I put it up to my lips there's some give. I wish the tank screwed in tighter.

Overall: I'm in love. Its doing exactly what I wanted it to do and serves the purpose for which I purchased it.

I'd like to see a pic next to an MVP or anything I already know the size of for that matter. Really hard to get a perspective without something to compare to.

Well... Just has a massive failure with the vtr and a kanger unitank. Filled it, screwed it in , took one very tasty hit and set it down. 3 minutes later I noticed the entire tank had leaked done the side of the vtr

How did that happen?? Just got my VTR today, and I can say its not as massive or heavy as it seems. I am able to hold it and feel secure because of the weight and design. I have taken it out on the streets with me with no problem especially since the weather is cooler now and I have a jacket pocket to put it in. If it was still summer could cause a problem because of the lack of outerwear but with the winter coming its going to be no problem.

Performance wise .... I don't know if I am really impressed because of the air-flow thingy that Phil B outlined in his latest youtube video on the "Aspire BCC". I attached the extension tube and screw down the same tank and the VTR hits like a champ, but guess what it looks dumb to have a protank or Iclear on top of that extension tube. I am overall happy with the device, but could I have done without it??? Yes. Am I happy I bought one??? Yes. If you are coming from an ego battery or something I really think you will be blown away, if your already a veteran vaper you could just add this to your collection its different and takes a 18650 so you know you don't have to chuck it when the battery dies like the MVP. Another thing is that I wear a suit to work everyday and the professional look of the VTR just goes with a nice watch and suit very well.
