I bought 2 Innoking vv v3 kits. These are version 3, but they only have the 510 interior threads - no eGo threads. The threads on the 1st one stripped out within just a few hours. The 2nd one within a couple of days. Is there any way to repair these? I used a 510 thread adapter on the 2nd one until it just popped out and now won't screw back in and hold. I really think I'd like these batteries, but they are useless right now. Can anyone help? I emailed innokin and got no reply.

Who did you buy them from?

I would immediately contact the vendor you purchased them from as Innokin does not offer warranty on third party purchases.

There should be no reason two units strip out in that short of a period of time, there are many people who have vv v3's that have been used for LONG periods of time without stripping.

Best of luck!

I bought from a reputable vendor. The 2nd battery was a replacement for the 1st. I might have tightened up too tight. I was careful, but %^& happens. I'm about to try to epoxy a 510/eGo adapter into the 2nd battery... my Kx6 just died, I'm back to an eGo C upgrade and plain old ego 1300 right now - anxiously awaiting vapemail and seriously considering a Provari - just wish they were VW. This has not been a good month in my vaping life!

Hmm well its definitely unfortunate you've had these issues, normally Innokin stuff is of pretty decent quality, but in mass production things can always happen.

The epoxy idea would likely work but the main concern is making sure the epoxy itself doesnt eliminate the conductivity between mod and connector. So when the epoxy begins to set-up you may want to double check that it fires atties properly/needs any tinkering before allowing it to dry, otherwise you may be stuck with a non-firing mod/adapter that will be quite difficult to get back apart without destroying.

It sounds like you bought knock offs. I have one and it had ego threads and the 510 connection works great

Yes, sadly. If they have no 510, they are not iTasteVV v.3

Maybe it's a V.2?

Not directly compatable with other 510 connection atomizers or itaste 3.0 pens without an adapter, sold separately.

The new styles come with both threads. These were the last of the older models (still v3), came with S10 clearomizers, etc. They were still showing on the Innokin web site a couple of weeks ago.

GOOD NEWS! The epoxy worked. I have connectivity, reading ohms, etc. I will leave clamped for 24 hours and then hopefully be back in business.
