I've been vaping only a short while but this computer stuff, and forums in particular, is old hat. I first got into that stuff before America Online allowed access to the internet, back when online forums were part of what were called bulletin boards and the only way to get to them were with analog modems where the most expensive ones communicated at 1200 kilobits per second.

I got to say, this is the most active forum I've ever seen. I can read a thread that's only a few posts long and when I go back to the list of threads they're in completely different order. And, for the most part, everyone here is very helpful.

That being said, I won't be contributing very much. One of the reasons I came here was to find an answer to a specific problem, a problem being discussed in a forum closed to me because I haven't posted enough to be allowed to post in any forum but this one. It doesn't make sense to re-hash topics already discussed, so I got my questions answered elsewhere. I'm not going to waste peoples time by posting inane BS just to rack up 5 posts so I can get to another forum. Does that make sense? Come to the most popular forum on vaping and you have to get answers someplace else because of a silly rule?

15 posts before you can have a signature? Personally, I don't like signatures but that rule is just plain weird.

20 posts before you get access to the classifieds? Guess I'll never have access to that.

Speaking of the rules and the topic that no one is suppose to discuss for fear of being banned, what if like me, you live in Washington State or you live in Colorado? How many states or countries have to come to the light before that silly rule is lifted?

This inquiring mind wants to know, isn't this place encouraging an illegal activity by allowing people to register and post that live in countries where electronic cigarettes are illegal? You can't tell me that they're all using proxies.

If you got this far, thanks for listening and have a vape day!

Sorry, but I don't think the "silly rule that isn't supposed to be discussed" is silly at all. This is a vaping forum. Im sure there are other forums for other topics you want to discuss. I come here for vaping and don't partake of the other things you are talking about, so I appreciate this forum being dedicated to that.

Not harshin on you, just saying that a majority of people here probably like that fact.

Looks like you are opening a can of worms with a post like this. I'm sure you will get some interesting responses.

Every forum has rules for a reason and I don't think the ones here are unreasonable. And I'm sure the 1000's of people posting on here would also agree. If you are truly interested in the topics discussed here then you will have no problem obtaining the post counts required to gain access to certain things.

As far as I know e-cigs are illegal in 2 countries, Hungary and Dubai. I highly doubt there are many users from those countries on this message board. Even if there are there is nothing illegal about the discussion of e-cigs. I'm guessing in your sheltered world where the internet barely exists you haven't seen the countless number of message boards that freely discuss drug use and abuse. There is nothing illegal about the friendly discussions that happen on these messages boards or any other.

Have a lovely day!

Since you are "old hat" you should also know that there are many different ways of controlling spam, and the 5 post limit for New Members is a common practice on many websites.

We don't talk about illicit drugs. Period.

This forum is to discuss e-cigarettes, not that "other stuff" that shall not be named.

And, as this really isn't going to go anywhere but south, closing.
