...Yep, as you can likely surmise from the subject, just another lurker finally deciding to go active, and getting my 5 posts done... I prefer lurker mode, but I understand the logic behind requiring real posts before moving forward.

At this point, I've been lurking around here for about 10 months, and soaking up all the knowledge (and greatly benefitting from it!). My wife and I started out as most likely did, with a couple Ego-T setups and some Johnson Creek juice, and were hooked on the first vape. We've quickly moved through a number of mods and juice companies, and now I've got one of Brad Gruss' beautiful 'Flair' mods on order as a late birthday gift to myself. Currently rockin' a pair of Provari Mini's and Vapage VMod 2.0 -- though admittedly the VMod's don't see much use. Also have been bitten by the rebuildable bug -- got 2 Chinese knockoff genny's and a Bulli-Smoker A2 I've been playing with a lot. Pretty much swear by Virgin Vapor, Highbrow, and Heathers Heavenly -- plenty of other juices the wife and I like, but none come as close to as much love as these have given us.

I guess I'll pad out my posts with a few pics or something... I hate doing it, but I also wanna prove I'm a person. :)

Alright... I'll toss in my daily drivers, I guess. Chinese knockoff Mini-DID, AGA-T+, Bulli-Smoker A2, and an assortment of dripping attys (mostly HH357's):

The case... I love it. I tote it around with me wherever I go, and it lets me carry all the vape accessories a vape junkie like myself might need: multiple juice bottles, batteries, attys/cartos/tanks/tips, mods... its got a lot of room, but isn't much bigger than a couple DVD cases.

Very affordable, and I find it indispensably useful. Of course, around work, people see me with it and call me a 'junkie' -- so it's been deemed 'the Vape Junkie kit' by me.

So,

Down to my reason for coming out of lurker mode, now that I've gotten that out of the way...

As I mentioned, I've already got a Flair on order from Brad Gruss, and am eagerly anticipating its arrival. Pretty sure I've identified my billet in his most recent post :) But, beyond this, I've been bit by both the rebuildable bug, and the undeniably higher end mod bug. I'm now seeking out new options, as all the best gear seems to go to people who actually participate rather than just lurking constantly.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on perspective! :D ) the wife has not gotten the bug as bad as myself, and still swears by her Ego-C Twists with DCT's. I've tried a number of options for her (no more blind buying for her, thats how I wound up with 2 Provari mini's and 2 VMods!), but none have the aesthetic appeal to her that the twists do. The narrowness and lightness are the most appealing factors to her. If anyone has any suggestions for nice, narrow mods -- I'm open to suggestion. I'd love to get her onto something with longer battery life -- though, I guess when she has one go out on her, its not an end of the world situation, so I shouldn't complain much.

So, I guess thats about it. I came out of lurker mode, cuz I want to lay my hands on an MCM 20, and I have my doubts I'll be able to do that while in lurker mode, considering how long they typically last. I'll gladly take suggestions on other nice mods (variable wattage or mechanicals are what I'm currently looking for -- the wife just wants something with a slim profile and preferably variable voltage), though I'm not sure there's many left I haven't at least glanced at. :)

Thanks for reading my dreck!

Check out the Temon by Metal Madness Vapors for the wife. It comes in a 14500 or 14650 battery tube size with the choice of satin or polished and SS or brass end and top caps. The "top" is an RBA. MMVapors.com is in Greece, but the turnaround is less than a week based on orders for me and a friend. I have the Temon atomizer and I went back for the full Temon and a Poldiac last week.

Mechanical mod, though, so no VV. There is a thread on "show me your pretty, girly mod" that should be an inspiration. I'll find and post.

This makes me wanna get a carrying case so bad!

When they're in stock again (and knowing Amazon, that won't likely be long), jump on it! Its a great little tote-all if you like to carry options around with you. Keeps things well padded and protected, and has a good assortment of spaces to place things. Went through a few various cases that most the vendors sell, as well as a few improvised ones I came up with myself before I found that -- now I can't imagine how I managed without it!

Welcome! Glad you came out lurker mode :) Thanks for sharing your great intro and gear. Love that case you have.

Thanks for the welcome!

I guess its only appropriate to participate in a community that has given me 10 happy, satisfied months analogue free -- and a relative savings near 5 grand to show for it! :)

Hi and welcome wheelzzz! Nice drip shields. Are they Empire? I never paid much attention to (or even knew what they were - "atomizer dress-up") until today. I've just started into dripping and I don't "need" more accessories, but "ooh, pretty, shiny".

The all-stainless one, and the black one with the silver 'cuts' are both Empire. The other 3 all came from Stormy's Vapor Cellar -- they were much cheaper, and I dare say just as good. The finish isn't quite as nice as the Empire ones, but they hold juice back just the same! :D

Yea, I might have to force her to live with something non-VV -- or just accept that Egos are the (current) sweet spot for her tastes. Thanks for the recommendation on MMVapors -- I was looking at the Poldiac as a possible mod for myself the other day. I think either the Poldiac or the Temon would likely work for me -- but she doesn't care for the draw off my rebuildables (well, the A2, but I have that built more like a stainless wicked cartomizer than a genesis-style hybrid would be) so I don't think it would work for her. The GP Piccolo or the smaller Precise Pluses has potential for her, I think, but she'd definitely notice the lack of VV that the twists have. May just have to see if she finds the aesthetics of any irresistible..

I have several of those tips too (braids, tru stones, and a wood). They are awesome. I also have that black and silver shield, because it came with my epipemod. Nice gear, welcome, and good mod hunting to you.

Thanks for the welcome :) Yea -- I got the wife a wood w/ insert and a trustone, and she loves em.. thats the one mod part that she won't stay away from. They may be pricey as far as drip tips go, but its really hard to argue with the comfort of the contours, or the looks.

There is always the option of a Kick (variable watts) unit inside a Precise+ 18500 or 18650 (or any 18500/18650 mechanical mod). Super T also has a Kiklet add-on that replaces the top cap and holds the Kick independently (no need to remove Kick with a battery change). The Kiklet does add some length though. Something to think about to get her started on a mechanical mod but keep the luxury of variability (and variable watts is easier to "set it and forget" since the Kick adjusts the voltage based on the resistance of the attached atomizer/cartomizer).

This is true -- and something I'm considering for myself -- but she already decided that the 'bulk' of a Provari mini w/ 18350 was too big for her. There's no way she'd be willing to use a 18500/650 :) It pretty much has to be a 14500 or slimmer design if she's gonna be interested -- which most definitely limits the choices (and leaves out most VV options -- though she never goes above 4.5, so maybe something like the Rider Robust would work).

I have a 16mm tank (pyrex and titanium) arriving tomorrow purchased specifically for the Temon battery tube. With a 2ohm cartomizer it should work great on a mechanical mod. I'll post a picture of the set-up. I think it is going to be gorgeous - not pink/jeweled/frilly - but not necessarily masculine due to its diminutive stature.

My friend had a Robust and it worked well for a couple of weeks then gave error codes for cartomizers that worked fine on other devices. It sits in a drawer now. I'm not sure if this is something that has been worked out - check for more recent reviews.

Yea, I have a friend with a pair of Robust's, and he does nothing but complain about them... I know theres a few other competitors for them -- the FreeCigs SuperEgo and Swig 14500 come to mind, but they don't seem to be readily available (and I don't have much to go on outside of a PBusardo review for either as far as research goes).. Really, I would just like to get her something with swappable batteries that she'll actually use, so we can retire the ego's (and their dang usb plugs! :D ) to the spares box.
