I see that new people give a short intro here, so here it is. I'm in Kansas and looking to learn more about ecigs to kick my nasty smoking habit so my two kids (4 and 8) will stop giving me grief about smoking. :p Looking to go the affordable and easy route since my job has me behind the wheel for the majority of a 10 hour shift, so looks like I'll be diving in headfirst into threads. Thanks for all of the great information, everyone!

! Congrats on listening to those smart kids you've got and making the big switch:toast:! A lot of folks find that the ego twist or vision spinner (essentially the same) is a great battery to start with. I'd recommend trying a small variety of clearos to put on top of it, as people have a major variety of favorites with those. As for cartos, my personal favorite are the 1.7 ohm single-coil ones. If you like 'em, you can put them in a tank. Here's a link to one of Baditude's excellent blog posts on that option - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html. Getting a number of juice samplers is also essential, as you will stick with it if you find something particularly tasty. You'll quickly see some of the favorite vendors with a quick spin around the forum. Please come back with any and all questions that might pop up along the way, as we're all very happy to help you with the transition. Happy vaping:vapor:!

I totally agree with everything BeckyBlue said! And Welcome to the Forum and to the wonderful world of Vaping! :) It's so much fun!
After smoking for 30 years, I never thought I would kick the habit and actually enjoy something even more than smoking! :)

you want to Quit? Toto I have a feeling we are still in Kansas. the inferno from volcano ecigs got the job done for me. it all depends on how much you want to spend to save your life. it's worth it whatever you decide. :toast:

If you want a cig lookalike, I recommend the Volt. I'm not sure but thought you referred to wanting an automatic and if that's the case, that is about the best you can get. I still think though that when you sit down at night and no one is around, you will prefer an ego type batt for the stronger hit and vapor. Eventually if you are like the majority of us, you will only get fulfillment from the bigger batts and not care at all what people think. Lol.
