inside my coil

well, I took apart 1 of my original pro tank coils to make a new coil and inside the coil base I found some metal jutting out into the area where the legs of the coil wire travels...
Here's a pic.. probably the cause of my stinky problem. if one of the legs touches that it would surely make that piece of wire glow and burn some.
just some normal mass produced mayhem..

It would be interesting to know how many people threw away coil heads and replaced them thinking they were bad instead of looking into them like you did. Good job.
