Should have the nimbus clone in a week or so-
The only thing I'm not wild about is the Allen head screws in the posts, but that can be remedied easily enough.
All in all, I expect it to perform like an rda.

Nice let me know how it performs. I'll probably put in an order on sunday tho hopefully other members with these rda's can shed some light. Only problems ive heard so far about clones are that they dont line up with the airholes too well.

i have a trident clone on order but i have the nimbus clone. for what it is the nimbus clone is solid but bear in mind these devices are in two different price classes... the trident clone costs over 3x the nimbus and that's due to the extra parts and closeness of clone. The nimbus clone is the generic chinese dual coil base, the trident is pretty much the trident base.

on my clone nimbuses I had a little bit of an issue on some mods with loose thread engagement. any aluminum thread mods are at risk of stripping out from the nimbus clone.

As far as which RDA to buy, a lot of the performance of it will be based on how well you build your coil. The trident seems like it is nearer to the original, but I have not used either.

I don't particularly care for drippers, but the Immortalizer clone on Fasttech did catch my eye the other day and I ordered it. The clone has a ceramic base similar to the original. At the very least, it should not heat up as much as a standard dripper.

You don't have to buy a mech to use an RDA. I would recommend a regulated device, like a Vamo, Zmax, MVP 2, etc... It will tell you the resistance of your atomizer once you build it. The regulated devices also have safety features that will protect you from a battery exploding in your face. If you are planning on building coils that are super low resistance (like under 1.3 ohms), you should wait until you have a good understanding of rebuilding.

Just received a Trident 24K Gold Plated Rebuildable Atomizer, and a Private V2 Telescoping Mech Mod E-Cigarette Battery Compartment.

The Trident will not screw onto the Private V2, not even 1 turn. It will screw onto a Provari, A Vamo V3, my real Atom (that I bought with a real Nimbus atomizer. But not a Kamry K200.

The Private V2 clone = My real Nimbus will screw onto it. As well as Pro-tank 2's, a Smok DCT, and carto's.

So, the Private V2 clone seems to be OK. The problem seems to be the Trident. Right? Anyone have experience with this problem? Or possible solution? Thanks.

best regards, larry mac

I'm actually not a total noob with building coils.. I'm venturing into mech mods for the sub ohm builds. I got the trident 24k gold plated comin in a few weeks and ordered the m16 sentinel. I'm also looking for the MNKE IMR 18650 batteries which I've heard great reviews about but I cant find a vendor. I picked the trident because of the ability to control air flow. What batteries are you guys using if you're using a mech mod, I heard higher mAh dont necessarily work great with the mech mods. Yes i know mAh is basically capacity but there are some other reason people prefer 15-1600 mAh batteries for the mechs instead. Point me out to some vendors with good batteries if you can thanks. I'll let you know how the trident fits when i get mine Larry.
