I have a Reo Grand and a new mini Woodville which I absolutely love. :)

Although...I am having issues with
finding what atomizer I like. I have tried a lr 306, lr 510, and also the Hybrid Bottom Feeders and I just can't seem to find one that doesn't leak out the bottom. No matter how lightly (and I mean lightly) I touch the bottle to feed it is either not enough to bring any juice up to the atomizer or it's to much and comes out the bottom and collects in the catch cup.

I use to love lr 901's when I dripped, so I thought about trying them again but only if I could use a drip shield because If not then again I would have overflow in the catch cup. I am just a little confused about the set up.

I know I will need a 510 to 901 adapter, but is that it? Do I need one of those bridged ones?

I thought about trying a Boge carto instead of going the atomizer route but just kind of didn't want to really fool with filling carts and stuff. Maybe I need a tank of some sort? Maybe different juice? I mostly vape 100% VG but lately it's like I get lots of vapor but little taste, if any. I like a mild throat hit that's tasteful. Maybe one that's not so drying either.

I don't know, I just wish I could find the perfect set up. Help!

Just think about it like you are squonking instead of dripping. You use a light touch...you are bringing just a few drops up into the atty. Lots of vapor and no flavor is usually flooded attys. Also, I find it helps to use a short unpowered hit after squonking to bring the juice up into the atty. No reason to use a tank. Cartos are NOT a filling issue with a REO because you refill them by squonking. You need to come down to Louisville for one of our meets. I'll bring my REO family. :)

Did you try the oring around the bottom of the Atty pushed just easily into the top of the catch cup ? its perfectly OK if a little juice comes back down into your catch cup, it should pull right back up into the Atty that's what its there for. are you matching up a good Bat to Atty combo ? using an IMR 18650 ? or a reg old 18650 ? careful with the 901 adapter as well I have shorted my Grand once using a bad one or somehow shorted it but if you want to use the Drip shield from Empire it should be fine, there is a little hole on one end keep it hole UP near the top, it is really almost the same as a catch cup, it will take any extra juice that leaks out of your 901 and pull it back in, dont be afraid to get some juice in it, that's what its there for.

Thank you mlinky. I will have to just try a carto again and see how it goes. I used one a long time ago that I received as a sample and had issues so I had no desire to continue them. I have also tried the blind hitting but I think I tend to squeeze and hit at the same time which draws to much up. I will try to do the squeeze first, then the hit!

Thanks again for your help. I would love to come to the Louisville meet and see your REO family! It's only an hour away! :):):)

Hi mwa102464! The batts I am using on the Grand are the TrusFire TR's. They are kind of old and I bet that may be the problem, or a part of it anyway. I did just order some high drain ones from Ken's Box Mods. I am using Tenergy's I got back with my ICON on my mini Woodville. I just ordered high drains for it as well from the same place.

I will try the O ring around the bottom of the atty too and see if that helps. Some juice in the catch cup doesn't really bother me and I see that it gets sucked back up eventually but sometimes it seems I'm still not getting any in the atomizer but tons in the catch cup! Which of course may be a power problem! Thank you so much for your help as well!:):):)

+1 to what mlinky said. Also, I use the 510 to 901 stealth adapter when I use my 901's. The short length of it seems to work great with bottom feed on the Reo. I use carto's too and they are great. I fill one and use it for days with the bottom feed.

Hi Bogey! Yes, I seen that 510 to 901 stealth adapter and I will make sure and get one. I will get some good cartos as well and hopefully my new batteries will be in and I will be set!

Thanks so much for letting me know how good the adapter works! :):):)

The next meeting will be August 13th http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/bluegrass-vapers/206732-august-meeting-place-time.html . I won't make it because of a horse show, but definitely September.

Latracey: If you plan to use LR attys and/or LR cartos on your Grand or Woodvil, this is the battery Rob recommends:

AW IMR 18650

That particular vendor is currently out of stock, but there of lots of links to other vendors in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...if-reo-your-first-mod-what-you-will-need.html

Hey Mudflap! Yes, I have read about the batteries recommended by Rob and have checked absolutely everywhere and also emailed a few but never received a reply back so I assume they are out as well. That is why I went with the ones from Ken's Box Mods. I figured they would do until I can the AW's. Thanks for help though! I have been watching rtd and hopefully they will receive some stock soon! :):):)

I found that "blind squonking" seems to work the best for me. Just take a draw and lightly (depends on how much juice you got left) press the bottle. When you hear a slight gurgle. Your good.

Hi washvap! Yes, I have been practicing the blind squonking and will hopefully get better at it. I have had my REO Grand for a long time and have never had the issues until now. Makes since it may be a power issue with the batteries that's causing some of the problems since they are old and not real good for lr atty's. I'm sure I will be back to normal in no time. I guess I just kept blaming the atty instead of what battery I'm using! Thanks so much for your advice and your technique! I will listen for that gurgle, maybe I'm just to hyper and need to slow it down! LOL :):):)
