Integrity of online stores

I have spent a whole lot of time over the past week learning and looking at the offerings of various online stores. Way too much time.
Not going to name names, but I have now seen two different online stores significantly, ridiculously jack up prices - right before advertising a Black Friday or Cyber Monday discount code. N.G. That's no way to build trust. Smart retailers know that the most important element of selling is - promoting repeat customers.

Anyway, for the other newbs like me here: be careful before you submit that order.

This is a vaping community, Many suppliers give us MSRP's and many vendors choose not to bother with them by dropping the price way too low or jacking it up to make more profit. Some people just want a nice community.

Java, yes...jacking up prices is out there. It's also out there in the B&M world. I look at a lot of vendor sites for prices and what else is available on the website that I am getting something else on. I just have a lot of bookmarks.

Yes way too much a local b&m was trying to sell mvps at 80 bucks a piece! But it's only seventy plus shipping online.i immediately left.

yeah you have to def know your prices when it comes to b&m stores. I expect and can handle some mark up but 100% is a good way to lose my business. At least near me there are a ton of stores so they may fool the beginner once but they will not get repeat customers.

I just jumped over to 101vape and the MVP2 is still 39.99. I didn't see anything regards a cyber-Monday deal...maybe something in the morning.

There are a lot of online vape stores out there. The reputable ones don't do that sort of thing. If you look at the lower area of the main forum page on ECF you'll see supplier sub-forums. I'm sure none of those suppliers did that.

Agreed, For some though who are on a waiting list for the supplier's own forum page, we still have good values

^^^^This exactly. A few months back I decided to buy a Cuisinart coffee machine (similar to the Kuerig machines). I did a lot of research on it, looked at reviews, etc. Every place I looked at had the machine for $199.00, but roughly a week after I bought it, my wife and I were in the JCPenny Home Store and I noticed they carried them also.

The signage in JCPenny for the machine stated that the normal retail was $299.00, but that they were having a big sale on them for only $199.00. Interesting, because in my research, I had not seen them anywhere, including B&Ms, for one cent over $199.00 as their regular, everyday price.

Yup, some vape shops are not the only ones to mislead customers.
